Dodger James Loney

I was listening to the TV News this morning whehn I heard the woman being interviewed. The LA Times story says this was a month ago but I never heard anything about it.
This is my favorite part:

Can I get Mod help? Please move to Game Room and adjust title to ‘Dodger James Loney DWI arrest’.

Thanks.

I reported it for you.

♫…I lost my license, now I don’t drive…♫

Beat me to it.

Nothing really to add here, I’m just finding it hard to believe a professional reporter would write this sentence:

“A woman allegedly struck by Los Angeles Dodger James Loney last month described the bizarre multi-car Maserati crash as terrifying.”

Did James Loney allegedly strike her? Did he allegedly run into her with his car? Or did he allegedly run into her car with his car? Was she involved in the accident in some way?

What the hell is a “bizarre multi-car Maserati crash”?

I noted that as well. The most terrifying thing here is the complete lack of ability to put together a coherant sentence.

Well, that an the biting off part.

So Loney was acting looney?

It’s one where you hit a car, pass out, get revived, then speed off and hit another car.

…in a Maserati"

See, in the crazy world of sports stars, you can use “in a Maserati” just like we used to use the expression “in bed” as an add-on to any statement.

Old:
“I would really like to have tacos” becomes “I would really like to have tacos…in bed” Add the knowing leer, and you’ve got it.

Now:
“I would really like to have tacos” becomes “I would really like to have tacos…in a Maserati”. See, whole new meaning.
