Tracy Morgan crashed his $2 million Bugatti in New York

Tracy Crashes his 2 million dollar toy fifteen minutes after picking it up at the dealership.

Geez, who thinks it’s smart to drive a 2 million dollar car in heavy NY city traffic? That’s about as stupid as you can get. Imho

The other driver swears she had the right of way. She had no idea who the guy screaming at her was. I bet her insurance agent passed out after getting this claim.
Woman involved in Tracy Morgan Bugatti crash speaks out

TMZ has the photos. This would be a trivial fender bender in most cases. The absurd value of a new Bugatti changes everything.

It is a nice car,* for the open highway. *I sure as hell wouldn’t drive it in heavy urban traffic.

Maybe he was taking it home?

Tracy may be at fault. I looked through the TMZ photos and it looks like the other driver was inside her lane. Can’t say for sure without seeing the cars tires in relation to the white line dividing the two lanes.

Either way, the Bugatti was needlessly hugging the white line. Tracy had several open feet between his car and the curb. He swung in way too tight on the turn.

 I’d want that 2 million dollar car delivered to my driveway.

I drive in fairly heavy traffic in Little Rock. It’s nothing like Dallas or New Orleans. Both cities scared the heck out of me. I nearly got hit several times in New Orleans. I was at a conference near the Super Dome. I drove the first day to pick up some chips, Cokes,Beer, cold cuts and bread for my hotel room fridge. That white knuckle experience was enough. My car spent the rest of the week in the parking lot. I was so thankful to make it back to LR without a damaged vehicle.

I wouldn’t even attempt New York traffic.

Have you been to New York city? It’s full of very expensive cars. Because it’s also full of very rich people.

And believe it or not, people manage to drive in NYC, or New Orleans, or Dallas, every day for decades without having an accident. Maybe you’re not cut out for the whole motor vehicle experience.

Not really, insurers don’t cover the cost of exotic cars like that. There’s a cap as to how much they will pay.

Tracey could sue the lady for the remainder, but good luck with that.

It makes a difference when you know a city’s roads. I have 30 years driving experience in the Little Rock metropolitan area. People texting & driving have certainly made it harder.

My trip to New Orleans was before GPS. I was driving through downtown traffic to a suburban shopping center with a map.

He lives in New York. Where else is he supposed to drive his car? The reason rush hour exists is because that’s when everyone needs to drive. Why is it stupid for someone to drive the car he just purchased? I really just don’t understand your reasoning. What’s the point of having an expensive car and not driving it? You would have it shipped to your house? What about when you have to go to work in the morning?? Would you have your car shipped to work while you take a cab?
That’s how you sound. Do you think someone should just ship their expensive car everywhere they need to go, while they follow behind in an Uber? That way, nothing bad could ever happen to it. I bet it makes total sense to you; maybe even about as smart as you can get. Or, should someone only drive their nice car at 0100 Monday morning, to ensure the absolute least number of other cars on the road?
Some people buy a nice car because they know they know they’ll be stuck in traffic and they don’t want to suffer in some piece of shit. They want luxury, and they can afford it. That’s not stupid.

I’m not a car guy. I wouldn’t buy a car like that even after winning a 50 million dollar lottery.

Obviously Tracy can spend his riches however he wants. Just don’t get nasty, shout and pound on the other drivers car after a fender bender. (that’s what he allegedly did)

I was under the impression Ferraris and Bugattis were intended for the highway? Isn’t that the point of all that horsepower and precision suspension?

Maybe Tracy could come practice in that notorious downtown Little Rock traffic?

No idea whose fault this accident was but Morgan hasn’t seemed quite right since his limo crash. I am not really sure he should be driving something like that at all.

He’d definitely wreck. We get a lot of rural drivers that visit LR once or twice a year to shop. They aren’t accustomed to urban traffic.

Defensive driving here is a priority.

He should have had the car delivered to the highway. He can park it on the side of the highway and walk the rest of the way once he reaches his highway exit.

The mystery for me is how that low-talent unfunny hack has enough money to buy a 10-year old Hyundai, let alone a $2M Bugatti.

Probably because humor is subjective.

Here you go. Star and EP of a top rated sitcom, just renewed for season 3.

Do Bugattis have manual steering? I guess it comes with the high performance suspension package?

That might explain why Tracy turned too tight. He only had 15 minutes experience with the car. We all get spoiled by power steering.

Both cars were hugging the white line. It’ll be interesting to hear which car was ticketed for being outside their lane.

So you freak out at even the thought of driving in NYC, but you think someone who lives and owns a car in NYC would “definitely wreck” if he came to Little Rock? Even though literally tens of millions of people drive every single day in busy traffic in the USA without having an accident?

He sued Walmart after one of their trucks nearly killed him and received an undisclosed amount in a settlement. I’m guessing that amount exceeded $2 million.

I don’t know what “needlessly hugging the white line” even means. Non-famous driver says in her interview that both drivers were turning right. From the pictures, it looks like they were heading west on W. 42nd Street and turning right on 10th Ave. Mr. Morgan was in the right lane, which is where someone turning right belongs. Non-famous driver was turning right from the second lane from the left, which is an improper turn. She also tried to change lanes in the intersection, which most states outlaw (I don’t know about New York specifically). She also failed to yield to traffic (i.e., Mr. Morgan) already in that lane. In my view based on what I can see, she is entirely at fault here.

She’s worried about her insurance going up. She should worry that her insurance is entirely inadequate. New Jersey only requires a minimum of $5,000 in property liability coverage. If she’s carrying the minimum, she could be out of pocket by tens of thousands of dollars.
