Not yet, but I may do. Biking home yesterday I was followed down the road by a Google car that appeared to be filming, it was systematically covering each street and the thingy on top was spinning. It was in a crummy area that I usually bypass but I thought I’d get my face on google. That’s me on my bike in Milton Keynes, trying to wave the guy ahead.
Not street view, but if you zoom in on my house in satellite view, you can see me in the backyard setting up the kids pop-up pool.
I am not on Google maps, but my dad is. Is there any way to save the pictures on Google maps? There is a picture of my Dad there, so typical him wearing white socks and shorts and safety shoes, washing down the driveway preparing to put sealant over it. He hasn’t done that for a few years since he had heart surgery, and I kind of like to remember it.
Take a screen shot.
Aw, they’ve updated mine. I was in the parking lot at work, and I could see myself in my car, turning into a parking spot. And now it’s different.
I guess that’s what it is. Interesting album. Does it ever end?
I remember seeing the google van and waving. It had been coming south on Greenwood and turned right on Central.
For some reason, in this closest shot, the car (and me) are foreshortened - it’s an Accord that looks like a Civic, and my arm looks twig-thin.
God, my life is sad.
Contact Google. They’ve coordinated their car with other groups. Here’s a link to an article about a Pittsburgh art project that coordinated with Google car. http://articles.businessinsider.com/2009-01-25/tech/30015448_1_google-street-view-google-car-swords
