Does anyone know the title of this song?

I’ve googled what I can remember of the chorus of this song but I’ve had no luck at all. It was a record we had when I was a small child and I played it over and over again on my dad’s 78 RPM record player that he got as a gift from his parents when he graduated from university in 1946.

I used to play it over and over until I darned near wore it out. I was probably like 4 or 5 years old and it was probably several years old then. It’s probably over 65 years since I’ve heard it and all I can remember is the chorus which went something like this:

“Don’t touch it, just leave it alone, don’t touch it, hey hey, you’ll get it, when daddy gets home, if you don’t mind what I sayyyy, hey, hey”.

I could be mistaken on some of the wording but it went something like that. Like I stated, google has been zero help so I thought I’d ask folks on this message board as so many of you are quite up on trivia answers.

Could you supply any more clues … what genre was it, what era etc
If you remember the tune could you hum/whistle it into
https://vocaroo.com or recreate it in https://onlinesequencer.net/
You could also ask on the Name That Song Sub Reddit. There are a few oldies fans there.

That vocaroo thing recorded perfectly. What’s done with it then?

Can you post a link to it here ?
(In vocaroo, when you’ve recorded, click on share, then click the copy
button to the right of the link (the https://voca… thing), then paste
it back here.)

Nothing says “share”

When you’ve finished recording (by pressing the red button), you should see a button
which says “Save & Share >>”
If you click that you should see a new little popup which shows the link to your
recording, and to the right of that link there should be small button with 2 overlapping
squares on it. Click that to copy the address to your clipboard. Then back here
you just paste it in your reply (CtrlV)

The options I see are QR code, embed, download and delete. Nothing says “share” or “save”

When you finish recording, you should see this …

Click on “Save & Share >>” and you should see this …

Click on the arrowed button, then come back here and paste it in your reply.
