Does anyone know where I can buy disposable cups larger than 16oz

Most places like Wal-mart, Kroger, etc. only carry 12oz and 16oz disposable styrofoam and paper cups. I want 24-36oz cups. Does anyone know where I can find these? I may just have to go to ebay but I’d rather get them at a store.

First thought would be a party and paper goods supplier. That’s where we buy all of the disposable cutlery, dishes, and related supplies for the firehouse. Ask your local firehouse where they buy supplies. If that doesn’t work, chat up the counter person at a convenience store. They go through cups by the gazillion, and may use a design that isn’t branded. If so, ask them how much to sell you a few sleeves of cups. Failing all of the above, go to Dart Container’s homepage and find out the location of your closest stocking distributor.

Somebody’s planning on serving beer in large quantities…

If you buy from a distributor, you’ll probably have to buy by the case. I used to sell tons of these. IIRC, 32oz cups come 300 to a case.

When I ran a movie theatre they came 500 to a case. Lids were 1000 to a case.

You can probably look in your yellow pages for a ‘concession supply’ place.

Some of those places may require you to have a tax ID number before they will sell to you.

I’m thinking one of the huge warehouse stores might help.

I’d check a restaurant-supply store, I think.

I know Sam’s Clubs carry that kind of stuff, and I’m pretty sure Costco does, too. I’m not sure about B.J.'s.

I second this. There’s a chain called “Smart & Final” that carries that sort of thing, along with chinese take-out boxes, jumbo rolls of aluminum foil, and 50 pound cubes of lard, for deep fryers (or those of us who make lots and lots of soap.)

Mmmmmm…50lb cubes of lard…

32 oz. cups - 45¢ each. They also have lids for a quarter.
