does anyone know who sings these songs?

ok a friend made me a cd of songs, problem is he didn’t tell me the artists or the name of the songs. anyone help?

first song goes. “You’ve got your ball you’ve got your chain tied to me tight, tie me up again.” Im thinkin its called “Crash into me” but who sings it?

next song. part of it goes “Another supper from a sack, a 99 cent heart attack” then goes on to the chorus “I wanan live where the green grass grows, watch my corn pop up in rows…” its country.

And who sings “Hilbilly Highway”?

I think thats it. thats just been bugging me for a while.

OH one more its country also. goes " she was killin me in that mini skirt, skippin rocks on the river by the railroad tracks"

and who sings Fishin in the dark?

SORRY!!! i get the feeling that im getting annoying.

“Crash Into Me” is by the Dave Matthews Band.
I don’t know about the others, but I’d say that a good lyrics search online do the trick. Many of them can find the title and the singer, even though you only submit a partial quote of the text.

The one with ‘where the green grass grows’ has that for a title, I’m 90% certain of that. I’m less sure, but think that Garth Brooks sings it.

The one about the mini skirt and the railroad tracks is very, very familiar, I have that one little clip of the song stuck playing over and over in my head right now, but I can’t think of the rest of it at the moment, or who sings it. I’ll let you know if I have a sudden revelation overnight, but I’m sure someone else will have answered you by then.

For instance, a simple search at [link]www.yimpan.com[/link] will show you that “Hillbilly Highway” is sung by Steve Earle.
I used to have a good search engine for lyrics, but it no longer exists. Perhaps someone else at this board can suggest a good one.

Lyric search Sorry about the mistake in posting the link.

You’re welcome.
