We have 4 dogs, including two senior citizens. We have a pretty good sized backyard, but our two older dogs are usually “really ready” to go when we take them out. We open up the back door and let them out, the two older ones usually just barely make it off the edge of our concrete patio before they wizz.
The concrete patio is also where our outdoor living space is, grill, patio set, etc , and man do we have mosquitoes!! I’ve lived in the hot humid south for years so skeeters are nothing new, but I’ve never seen them like we have this year. We’ve checked for standing water, and nada. The only thing that seemingly has changed is our two older dogs whizzing so close to the patio.
So does the smell of dog urine attract mosquitoes?
