Does Madonna (the singer) look more and more like an old whore?

I’ve been actively disliking Madonna (both her music and personality) since 1983. She has all the charm and charisma of a rabid squirrel. On top of which, she’s done some truly awful things. Swept Away and Like a Prayer come to mind. But “old whore” is over the top, bordering on plain old misogony.

I would be absolutely shocked if Madonna doesn’t already own a hott-pink tank top (two sizes too small, of course) that has the words “Old Whore” emblazoned in huge, glittery letters across it’s chest.

Seriously

(OK, Maybe just the word “Whore” without mention of age)

Yeah. I think comments like that say more about the speaker than the target of the insult.

I love me some Hilary. Even though I don’t always agree with her politics, I appreciate that she’s intelligent, articulate, and loyal.

That 'do, however, is embarrassing. Why she abandoned the tailored, age appropriate hair, to revert back to the 70’s do, complete at times with a headband, is beyond me.

“Old whore” is a bit hyperbolic, with a dash of misogyny and sprinkle of thread-baiting. She looks phenomenal for a 53yro woman.

That said, I caught one of her newer videos on the revived show Pop-Up Video the other day. She was dancing around and singing with Justin Timberlake, and it felt very strange and a bit sad to see this woman–who is 2 years away from being able to join the AARP–writhing and seducing the camera like she’s 30, or even 15, years younger. Not that a 50yro woman can’t be sexy in her own right–but trying to do what she did decades ago just falls flat and is a bit…sad. Desperate sad.

She’s the master (mistress?) of reinvention. She needs to reinvent herself as something other than, well, this.

What’s wrong with how Madonna is dressed in the OP’s photo? I think her top is kind of ugly, but it doesn’t strike me as inappropriate or too “young” looking for a 50-something who’s in good shape. It’s mostly black, has sleeves, and while somewhat low-cut seems pretty restrained by pop star standards.

Hey, the OP, who’s never come back to any of the threads he started or contributed to anyone else’s, is probably just dreading Thanksgiving With Mom…

I understand his misogyny. His Mom dropped him down a laundry chute in the cheap hotel where she gave birth. Then those meddling old biddies in CPS reunited them.

This is cracking me up. I’m 55. I wore a knee length skirt and some cowboy boots to work one day. I had on a long sleeve, high neck shirt, and since I’m always cold, a sweater on top of that.

I was working with a lady that is about 70 years old that day and when I remarked that I was freezing, she told me that if I didn’t dress so fufu, I wouldn’t be cold.

I was speechless. I never ever considered myself fufu. I take it as a compliment now.

I’m an atheist.

I consider Madonna a whore (in the common usage, though she’s technically not a prostitute to my knowledge)/slut ever since I heard about her habit of cruising in her limo, finding much younger boys, and inviting them into the limo for sex. I’d find this behavior similarly repellant in a man. And I don’t care if someone is famous or not, I think that this sort of behavior deserves to be called out.

I think she looked amazing in that video.

Justinian the first would like to have a word with you.

Wasn’t that a video?

It might have been in a video, but it was pretty common for her to do this IRL. With underage boys.

I’ve never heard that before. Can you provide some more info? Maybe a cite?

Wait, what? This is the first I’ve ever heard of the Madonna-is-a-pedophile accusation. Dare I ask for a cite?

I’ll third that. That’s a pretty horrible thing to accuse someone of publically. Needs to be backed up.

Cite?
I have never heard this.
Without a cite, it didn’t happen. Maybe my google-fu is weak this evening but I can’t find any referernces to this online.

Again: cite?

I remember hearing accusations that Madonna went cruising for younger men, but I don’t recall hearing that they were underage. Young enough to be squicky, but there’s a big difference between being squicky and being a felon. ETA: I think it was around the time she met the father of her daughter, Lourdes, if someone cares enough to go searching around the internet. I don’t.

I’m not a huge Madonna fan or anything, but I certainly have NEVER heard any accusations of her being a pedophile (or I guess technically an ephebophile if the guys in question weren’t actual children). I am going to have to join the chorus of “cite?”
