Well, I’m not going to even bother with reading the link so the OP might have been selectively quoting, but according to the “Goals” the OP cut and pasted, one of the goals of the organization is to have black people preferentially deal with other blacks. So if Fraser doesn’t count as black, then ideally blacks would not do business with him if they followed his rules!
Since your reasons for disliking him were this:

All of us are of entirely African descent. 
Well, a rather large component of what “black” means in practice is based on the perceptions of others. Regardless of the exact components of genetic ancestry, someone who isn’t routinely perceived as black is not, cannot be, in the same circumstances as someone who inevitably is. For example, I know a couple folks who were pretty angry at Bliss Broyard’s assertion of her blackness (which extended to self-righteously informing white people making race-tinged remarks in a social setting that she was offended by virtue of her black ancestry).
I’m still interested in hearing the answer to this question.
Small point to latch on to, I know, but what’s your definition of professional success? Depending on your definition, I may or may not belong on your list. In any case, I can quickly name more than a ‘few’ black Americans who consider themselves successful.
To answer the OP, yes, Fraser is black. There is no black ‘look’. There are features that some whites view as typifying a stereotypical black look but, although many of us exhibit a number of these features, many of us don’t at all.
It amazes me that white people are still hung up on trying to define, or recognize, what is and what is not black. It’s not for you to define or recognize. What are you afraid of? I mean, you started an entire thread ostensibly about the supposed racial ambiguity, from your perspective, of a black man. I wonder if you’d be just as motivated to start a thread about an Italian person who looks, say, Nordic. I wonder what you’d think about Wentworth Miller, or Jennifer Beals, or me, for that matter, if you ever met me.

No, I don’t start threads over nordic Italians. Nordic people were raiding, invading and peacefully settling Italy in various periods of its history, and everybody is well aware of their and their descendants’ existence. And the entire question is not of much interest because there is no government office where these nordics can go and sell (or rent, perhaps) their skin color in return for scholarships, preferential loans, preferential business contracts, preferential hiring and other forms of preferential treatment.
So, it is not really Fraser’s looks that has you in a tizzy, but an inexplicable need to rant about affirmative action. Am I reading this correctly?

This thread did not start out as a rant. It started out in MPSIMS. So I wanted to share Mr. George Fraser, the I-can’t-believe-I-am-black conman specializing in getting money out of black middle class and “elite”, such as it is. He does it by telling them to use a special credit card he runs, to avoid doing business with people who are not members of his tree club etc.
The thread did however attract a few rants and ended up in the pit. E.g. now you are ranting about whether or not I have a right to express opinions about the validity of Fraser’s racial self-identification. And the answer is yes - I have an inalienable right to that, guaranteed to me by the SDMB speech code policy for this particular forum.
And I have the right to say that you are a worthless piece of shit who would make this board a better place by leaving. You contribute nothing of value, you appear to be a bigot, and you’re an asshole.

You do seem to be digging yourself into a bit of a hole here. I don’t know if Fraser’s a con man, but you certainly haven’t provided evidence to support the claim. He’s certainly doing something that’s risen your hackles. However, since whatever he’s doing doesn’t impact your life in any way, or in a way you’ve expressed thus far, why do you care?
Also, where are you getting ‘I-can’t-believe-I-am-black’ from? Has he ever said this? Has he even given any indication whatsoever that he is incredulous about being black?
I didn’t read all the content in the site you linked to, but is the word ‘elite’ one that’s bandied about a lot on the site, or in Mr. Fraser’s speeches? And, what do you mean by “such as it is?”

I guess Code’s theory is that Fraser is playing C Thomas Howell and has fraudulently decided to pass as black in order to take advantage of affirmative action programs, which shower black people with free money.
you underestimate me, Lemur866 :D. Taking advantage of affirmative action programs is for the dumber black people, e.g. Mr. Fraser’s customers. The smarter people, some of whom are “black” to about the same degree as Queen Victoria is related to Aeneas by way of Charlemagne, make money by being parasites on the former. E.g. witness Mr. George Fraser, the light skinned guy who makes his living selling tree club memberships to affirmative action recipients who are dumb enough to find the bullshit he writes on his website to be worthy of respect.
IMHO not only is Fraser perpetrating Affinity fraud - Wikipedia but he also manages to do it without actually having any affinity to his marks in the first place.
