I didn’t get a reminder last year.
For most of our members the subscription expires on April 28, but it varies.
We do remind people about this time, I think Ed is working on it.
In the meantime I remind you that you can resubscribe at any time by clicking on the “Subscribe” hyperlink in the blue band up there on the page and following the prompts. Those of you who are Charter Members will get the Charter Member rate AS LONG AS YOU CONTINUE TO RENEW. ONCE YOU LET IT LAPSE, IT’S OVER.
Let me repeat that.
As long as you continue to renew at the Charter Member rate you will receive the Charter Member rate; if you let it lapse, it cannot be reinstated.
So subscribe early and often.

I haven’t decided to renew yet for various reasons but I have a quick related question. My sub expires on 28 April. If I renew now, a month early, does that extend it a full year or will next years date to reup be in March for me? I’m pretty sure it will extend it to April 07 but I want to make sure.
I can answer that. I re-upped a couple of months ago. My subscription would have expired on April 28th 2006. Now it expires on April 28th 2007.
So you lose nothing by subscribing early.
If the thought is already crossing your mind, why not just do it now, while you’re thinking about it?
This is correct - you lose nothing by subscribing ahead of time, and you stand to lose if you’re a Charter Member and forget, so it’s best to subscribe early if you plan to. Plus, all those last minute subscriptions cause server strain so the process might even be faster for you.
Just re-upped myself. Even though I don’t post much nowadays (some might say ever), it’s still pretty cheap…
I got a renewal note from Dex. It was something along the lines of “Punk-ass bitch! If I don’t see some more Staff Reports, and I mean like yesterday, I swear I will put some serious old-school hurt on you! Write or die; can you do any less?”
At least that’s what I think it said. I was crying pretty hard at the time so it was difficult to read the words.

You can currently subscribe for two years at a time; I think that’s all the system will let you do.
It’s also two transactions, so if you’re dinged by your financial institution per transaction it is double your pleasure, double your fun, double everything.
But we are worth it and it’s nice you think so ten times over.
(Hang on to that money; we’re looking at other ways you can spend it. Nothing to announce yet but we hope to offer you more ways to be Dope-ified.)

Seeing this thread, I immediately tried to renew my subscription, but the system is not letting me type in my credit card number. Is it a problem at my end?
Are you typing it in with blanks between the numbers?
Some cards show the numbers in groups like this: 1234 5678 0000
Try typing it with no blanks.
