I saw a woman wearing a t-shirt the other day that I didn’t “get,” but it’s probably obvious to the rest of the world.
It said “It’s not about religion… it’s about relationships.”
Is that a comment on a particular issue?

Seems to be a dig against the majority of the churches’ stance against same sex marriage and same sex relationships.
Yep, that would be my guess, too.
It seems like a response to the “It’s not a religion, it’s a relationship” slogan that is said by some conservative Christians.
I’ve never heard that slogan and don’t know what it means.
I wouldn’t say her shirt sounds like a response to it. It sounds like it’s a restatement.
It means (when said by a conservative C’tian) that the main point of one’s faith is relationship with God, not the trappings of religion. The latter isn’t necessarily unimportant but it’s secondary to the God-human relationship.
Well, many conservative Christians don’t believe that Christianity is a “religion”, but rather a reality. A true Christian has a relationship with God that is real.
I learned it this way. Religion is man’s attempt to reach/contact God/higher power. Christianity is God’s way to have a relationship with us.
That’s what that shirt means to me.
Homosexuality? I never even thought of it until I read this thread.
