Does Viagra work?

So, Cialis comes with handcuffs, a kiddie-pool of peach jello, a Tor Johnson mask and a midget with a cattle-prod?

OT, but I had a friend who picked up a parasite while traveling abroad, and it blocked some of his smallest blood vessels, causing a 3-day erection. He had to fly home ASAP for treatment, with erection, and had to be catheterized, while, well, y’know. Sounds like the closest thing a man will ever experience to the miracle of a forceps delivery.

Turned out OK, though. Couple years later, his wife had a daughter, conceived all-natural. [/OT]

You want retrograde ejaculation? All I can think is that it’s the world’s worst form of birth control.

Little Person with a cattle-prod.

WTH would you call “the ability to give you a boner”, if not “incentive” to use the drug?

I take blood pressure meds and have for 11 years. Viagra doesn’t work for me. I have tried and the pill isn’t strong enuff to over come the Lisinipril.

No, I don’t want it. I was pointing out Cialis has a Flowmax type plus, but not the notable minus.

It doesn’t make me any hornier than I usually am, just decreases the time to full inflation and makes it somewhat harder and and larger than without and makes it last longer. Sort of like when I was a teenager.

This has been my experience. The problem is, “how do you go back”? Both you and your SO have now just enjoyed great sex, better (or much better) than it has been lately and now sex without it is just not going to be as good. So now you are popping one every time. The pills are not cheap and they make you “plan” sex at least an hour or so in advance.

Its a great product, but plan on getting hooked.

It doesn’t work automatically. Your SO has to participate in getting it up, but once its up, its harder and lasts longer. And when you’re done, it just slowly goes away (like it did when you were younger). I don’t have any negative side effects at all. No 4 hour erections, no blue lights, no headaches. Only thing is, I can feel when it ready to start working. Its like I feel it in my bloodstream.

Um, right. It’s not supposed to make you hornier; at least not diirectly. I was commenting on that poster saying there was no incentive to use viagra. Maybe we are just ising differing definitions of “incentive” but the fact that viagra makes a man capable of achieving a full erection is the incentive .

No he was saying that Viagra doesn’t give you incentive to use the boner. As you agree, it doesn’t make men horny. It = penis, not Viagra.

Ahhhhh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up.

A little upset that now my name is part of a Viagra thread but…SOMEONE WAS WRONG ON THE INTERNET!!!

This. A double dosage just made me a little clammy for a couple of hours. And gave me a headache. Same with Cialis.

Mangosteen, I will address your question and give you a couple of suggestions. My guy uses Viagra, he’s in his late 50s. Actually what we have on hand is a generic kind, same active ingredient. You ask, “how do you go back?” Well, in his case he’s not technically impotent, but normal circulation and being able to keep an erection for extended periods of time does seem to become a problem for some men at some point. So, we enjoy having the pills available. When we don’t have them sex is still enjoyable because we (with or without pills) make things interesting – we are both adventurous in bed. Do you and your partner like “toys?” The pills, as you know, just keep you harder longer, yes? So incorporating toys in your sex life and whatever else you both would like to explore is an option to keeping it “as good.”

We have only bought one prescription in the US. The first one - about three years ago. When he told me how much he paid for them I was in disbelief! That same year we went to his nieces graduation from medical school in Guadalajara, Mexico. We also went to Cancun for a few days – his dad has an apartment there. We bought our V there for $3.00/pill. Yes, you read that correctly. When the blushing young girl at the pharmacy asked me, “how many would you like?” I said, “How many do you have in stock?” :D. I bought them out. I am a native Spanish speaker. When it was time for our return flight home, we took them out of the boxes they came in and put them in a Tylenol container, I think. We came back home with enough for a year. We went to Lima, Perú this year. I had not been home in 40 years. We found them there for $2.00/pill! We bought many, of course.

Obviously, there would be an expense for you to travel to Mexico, but if you have a chance to do so, even just across the border, or if a good buddy is going and is willing to get them for you, absolutely go for it! They are safe and the exact same pill that is sold here in the US for $20 something per pill. We went to a reputable pharmacy in both countries. He’s never had a problem with them and they work great! I can certainly vouch for that. The pharmaceutical companies here are making a killing. It’s ridiculous what they charge, IMO.

Also, most often he cuts a 100mg pill in half to make them last longer. When we are out we don’t stress about it. It’s not a big deal …um…no pun intended.

Do you live in the US? Are you planning your trip to Mexico yet?

Oh, I totally forgot about this. I took one of our pills one time. I was curious and wanted to see if it would have an affect on me. It did. My labia and clitoris got totally numb and I could not come for the life of me! Never again. What was I thinking?
