doesn't *anyone* buy pistachio?

It’s my favourite flavour.

I only eat ice cream about once a year, but when I do it’s usually pistachio (or occasionally Rocky Road or Chubby Hubby).

drools

Screw this diet. :frowning:

My local grocer sells a pistachio jello/marshmello/desert/thingamabob.

It’s pretty tasty!

Jsgoddes,

I live about 20 miles southeast of Columbus. If you are anywhere close, then a trip to a place called Gypsy Joe’s in Lancaster would be worth it. They have a super-premium pistachio that is out of this world. Let me know if you want directions.

moejuck

Wow, moejuck, I had never heard of the place. I went and asked a coworker about it and he laughed at me. Apparently, my sister-in-law works there!

Now, that’s what I call a coincidence.

Julie

Pistachio’s aren’t green so I don’t know how BR makes their ice cream green

At Trader Joes, you can get a few types of Pistachio nut meats & throw them in some vanilla ice cream. They are about $3.99lb.

Aren’t green? You’re eating something other than pistachios.

pis·ta·chi·o

1.a. A deciduous tree (Pistacia vera) of central and western Asia, having pinnately compound leaves and dry, drupaceous, nutlike fruits. b. The nutlike fruit of this tree, having an edible, oily, green or yellow kernel.
2.The flavor of these nuts.

Maybe handy only eats the yellow ones.

oooOOOooo pistaccio!

Do you get Aglida brand gelato in the states? This summer they have out a Magnum pistachio ice cream bar covered w/ chocolate and crushed pistachios . Tis orgasmic!!

Very odd. I live not too far from the place, and I go there all the time. Actually, I have had every flavor. I am sort of an Ice cream addict, you see. I eat it all the time, and I know everything about it. One of these days I think I will write a book about all the ice cream I have eaten. Let’s start the “Small Town Ohio Dopefest” at Gypsy Joe’s. You in?

If all else fails throw some pistacho nuts in vanilla ice cream!

Is there a Rite Aide drug store there that sells Thrifty ice cream?

I’ve been a fan of pistachio ice cream since my first purchase from Baskin-Robbins circa 1973. Preferably in a double-twin cone with butter pecan in the other half.

It doesn’t have to be green but it has to taste like pistachio.

Actually pistachio-almond is even better.
