Dogs and Marijuana

Always, wondered…Does blowing Marijuana smoke into the ear of a dog, have any effect on them ?

I wonder if this stems from the old wive’s tale that suggests that blowing smoke into the ear of a person with an earache will magically “cure” it…

Alas, all that occurs is the person feels relief caused by the warmth of the blowing, and noting from the smoke itself has anything to so with it. The same effect would be achieved with a hair dryer.
If your dog has ear problems, take it to the vet. Home remedies are reserved for people who can make the decision to ignore common-sense on their own. Dogs rely on us to provide healthy alternatives.

So as for smoke in the ears, all that would happen is that you would be exposing forcefully an animal to the effects of breathing in smoke of any kind, which in the long run could have detrimental effects on the dog’s health.
You shouldn’t smoke ANYthing around your dog, particualrly those types of things that might cause him some kind of wierd doggy “trip”. Who know what they’d do?

Pluggy just sat on the couch and looked sleepy. Um, at least that’s what my friends told me.

I have direct eyewitness (non-participatory) experience that this does, in fact, affect cats. I wouldn’t be surprised if it worked on dogs as well.
