Yeah, but Perry has a trophy daughter, too. Now I wanna know who thought that up??
Mebbe he should try out for QB
Wonder if Tigers wife is needing comfort?
Confirmed.
I hate that idea, though I understand why they do it. So many of the Masters playoffs have ended at the 11th with such dramatic impact.
I think the way it works is you collect a few good purses and a bunch of pretty blondes beat a path to your door - you can then pick and choose.
As i said in post 150.
Purse snatching leads to trophy wives??? Whoda thunk???
Angel Cabrera about to prove the first one wasn’t a fluke.
Cabrera knows how to pick em eh? 2 PGA titles, both majors.
Sorry bout that, better money spent on tiger not winning a major.
Right country anyhow.
Not a bad finish either.
Phil was -9. He missed 2 short flat putts and smacked one in the water. Those 4 strokes would have him at -13. It was there .
A pro golf tournament, especially in and around the clubhouse, is like a walking fashion shoot. The women who show up there are absolutely amazing.
That was a typo.
Is this a first? Has any prior winner needed an interpreter?
Only when interviewed by the Japanese.
Roberto de Vicenzo?
Oh, wait, sorry…
I was really looking for position and not strokes. I’m curious how many other players you can realistically hope to overcome to win on the final day. If it had been Tiger tied for second and 6 strokes back I wouldn’t have considered that as big a comeback as being 6 strokes back and in 10th place.
Lawrie was in a tie at 14th with Patrik Sjoland Hal Sutton and Jesper Parnevik going into the 4th round. He overcame Jean Van de Velde(of course),Justin Leonard(in a playoff with Jean also)Craig Parry,David Frost,Andrew Coltart,TIGER WOODS,ANGEL CABRERA,GREG NORMAN,COLIN MONTGOMERIE,Frank Nobilo,BERNHARD LANGER,Len Matiace and Miguel Martin for the win.
That a big enough comeback?
Oh what a stupid you are!
Was very pleased to see Tiger ht that tree - even tho he was out of it by then.
Even tho Perry gave it away on the last 2, was glad to see the leaders not slip entirely back to the big 2.
You folks echo what the TV and papers said - that the story was a couple of guys who ended up finishing several strokes back. While I agree that was A story, I was more interested in following who actually was in the running to win this thing. And despite the manufactured soap opera, Tiger was never in it. Flirted late then immediately backed away.
Was pretty impressive that Phil kept it as close - getting within a shot or 2 on a couple of of occasions, both before and after dunking one.
Hell, if they were gonna jizz all over Tiger/Lefty, then at least show us all their shots. I was astounded on one hole on the back nine when they came back from commercial to show Tiger’s drive, and they never showed Lefty’s drive (he had honors).
I was quite happy the way it turned out. Would have been very happy to see any of the top 3 win it. Perry winning it would have been a nice story. It might have lit a fire under Campbell. But it is nice to see another player multiple major club. And Cabrero is certainly a refreshing change from the blown-dried Stepford pros.
Bet Perry wishes he coulda channelled a little Shingo on 17-18.
And MadSwine - I’m not sure why you think I lost anything?
Just goofing with ya.
