Dolly and Ike and argh!

So it looks like we’re maybe up for another direct hit.

FUCK WEATHER!

Ghod, I’m starting to miss Boulder, all I had to deal with was a few feet of snow, and winds that would peel the roof off of a newish house…

Now, I have to make sure we have enough extra bottled water to flush a few times.

So what are we flushing with these days? Poland Spring or Evian?

Seriously, though. I hope you ride this one out without too much difficulty.

Yeah, well if living on the Coast was all rainbows and teddy bears, we’d all be doing it.

Here’s a nice map which might help in finding a place in the ConUS which is relatively free from weather-related disasters. It’s kind of surprising that so few counties have never had a federal disaster declaration. Evidently Boulder County has had between 1 and 6 declarations (between 1964 and 2007).

Seriously though, if the storm is forecast as a Cat 3 or above by noon on Thursday, I’d leave the Texas coast. Too risky to stay, and I hear evacuations will take along time. Be safe!
