Yes, there was pornography in the Soviet Union. Trains feature heavily. 
Hungarian language Playboy was in print in late 1989, and possibly earlier.
Pre-implosion Yugoslavia had a robust publishing industry which included translated and reprinted European adult mags - mainly German and Italian. Some of these would have been in Serbian Cyrillic, allowing the avid East European to enjoy the articles.

It was “edgy”. So what? We moved on, and so should you. I get it, they were “poking fun” at a certain graphic style associated with a certain time and place, but if your knee-jerk response to the stimulus “Soviet Porn” is an old Simpsons gag, guess what, you are the joke! Ironic, isn’t it? Not meaning to pick on you, but I’ve had it with “Worker and Parasite” as the go-to bit of snark that Americans seem to have a puzzling attachment to, and honestly, it’s played out and you didn’t really need to go there considering the subject is USSR erotica and it takes a rather long leap of faith to get from a frankly weak parody of Eastern bloc animation to whatever it was they could get away with in Soviet Russia, clutching at straws I’d say, so think twice next time and resist the temptation to go with “Worker and Parasite”, it’s shabby.
Nowadays, a lot of porn consumed in the First World is made in the Second World. Why would it have been otherwise back then?
