Domino VS The Hulk

Ok, I don’t see alot of comic book character VS threads here - atleast on first glance, anyway. I figured I would start one here because this particular match up intrigues me. Just go with me on this.

Ok, so, Domino has the power of Good Luck, to put it simply. If she tries actively to accomplish a feat - dodging bullets, shooting a fast moving target etc. - she will succeed. So bearing that thought in mind, is it possible for her to win a fight with someone as powerful as the Hulk?

Now, I know she is not at all powerful enough to beat him up or destroy him, however, could she in theory, dodge his attacks and counter moves enough to best him or incapacitate him?

What say you, fellow comic enthusiasts?

The Hulk will, sooner or later, do something that Domino can’t dodge or avoid, like dropping an entire city on her. No more Domino.

It’s always the Hulk. His strength is limited only by his anger level, and so far there’s been no discernible limit to the potential of that anger. OTOH, Hulk can and has been outsmarted.

Unless her luck involves Dr. Strange wandering by to port Hulk elsewhere, Domino is out of luck.

From Wikipedia:

So maybe she gives the Hulk just enough “bad luck” that he calms down and reverts to Banner.

I would think that the opposite would happen. Her constantly dodging him will amp up his anger until, as D_Odds says, he drops a city on her.

Well, ok, I see all your points.

Now, in regards to her taking him down… does she have anything in her rifle arsenal that could take him down or pin him down in such a way that she “wins?”

Can she fire a explosive round at a slab of mountain side that could tumble down and bury him, albeit temporarily?

When he finally picks up the 50-story apartment building to drop on her, real world physics can finally trump comic book physics as the building realizes that it is not designed to be lifted off its foundation by someones two hands, and it would collapse on the Hulk.

I like that idea.

LOL:)

I’m not familiar with Domino. What if she picked that moment to look for a subterranean lost city of gold, or an elevator to a deeply buried underground base?

This is comic book fighting. It’s the kind of world where Squirrel Girl can defeat opponents that ridiculously overmatch her. So if the plot requires that Domino wins, a one in a trillion cosmic ray will hit the Hulk triggering a spontaneous mutation that conveniently shifts him back to Bruce Banner who will then slip on a banana peel.

Or they’ll fight in a chemical factory and multiple chemicals will combine to form a completely frictionless surface, leaving the Hulk helpless and Domino incredibly rich from the patent proceeds.

It’s not under her conscious control. She doesn’t usually pick what happens. It’s just that whatever does happen works out to be in her favor. Trying to find a lost city of gold could benefit her in all kinds of ways even if they don’t exactly relate to gold or lost cities. Maybe it gets her out of San Francisco just in time to avoid an earthquake, or maybe she meets someone interesting on the way to the lost city.

Of course, most uses of her ability are pretty cut and dried in terms of effect/results. If someone is throwing a city at her, any result other than “Pops up through a manhole, unscathed” is going to be a bad one.

Thus, a Hulk vs Domino fight seems to be one that must end in both of them wearing each other out until they decide to team up and take out the bad guys. That’s pretty much a standard comic book trope anyway. Either that, or the writers have to postulate some reason why one of them has a failure on their super power.

Cinema hulk, at least, seems to be pretty weak for pretty, mercenary women.

Fighting, to start with, seems like a losing prospect. Why not go the easy path and chat the guy up?

How about The Hulk vs. The Noid?
