Donald Trump's 2016 General Election Campaign

Trump didn’t accuse any organizations of anything. He just said, “Some people”. Find a couple more and what he said is true.

It’s ethnic/racial inciting in the same way saying “some people say the Jews control world finance and are responsible for all the world’s wars” is ethnic inciting.

Not the same thing. If I say “some people think it’s okay for cops to gun down young black men by the truckload” is that incitement?

Mea culpa, I didn’t look at the Nowcast today (or any day). When he announced that the model was live, he said the Nowcast showed a much lower chance for Drumpf, but he also said that it was designed to be very sensitive to new information. So the new Quinnipiac numbers must have shifted it quite a bit.

None of this, of course, negates any of the points I made about how you can’t just treat this like a regular horserace.

Hope Hicks and Lewandowski were banging. Another high-ranking campaign aide, one of those who got caught up in Trump tirade against his aides last month, decided to Spill the Beans to Page Six.

Trump is now suing this aide for $10 million.

How quickly does the NowCast change? I clicked and its now 69.2 and 30.8.

ETA - answered my own question.

We’ll be updating our forecasts every time new data is available, every day through Nov. 8.

I guess new info became available.

Read it again, it is the context. Trump claimed that it took place in the 11 cities, the clear implication is that he was referring to the organizers or the groups involved. An accusation designed to incite his followers to make the situation worse. If Trump does not clarify I will have to also conclude that Trump will fall for nuts and conspiracy theories from the internet on a daily basis.

Not likely that it will be just about Batboy, but all the way to dangerous situations in the USA and in the world.

A meteor hit Baylor. Hasn’t made the news yet. Might not.

Maybe. I always lose when I defend Trump, so I’m not going to even try. Even if I’m right about this one statement he’ll go and say something that proves you right tomorrow.

Perhaps, to a lesser degree.

He also doesn’t know the difference between an article and an amendment. He was talking about upholding Article XII the other day—but there are only seven. Clearly he has never read and has no familiarity with the Constitution he would be sworn to uphold as President. You can’t simply outsource that part of the job, which is why most politicians are lawyers first. This man has no business running for ANY public office, much less POTUS. I can’t vote (I’m Canadian) but I sure as hell hope you folks do the right thing. Clinton make be unlikeable, but at least she is familiar with what the job entails.

Why would he learn about something he intends to ignore?

What he said right now proves us right. Trump’s actual words:

"The language is important: “When somebody called for a moment of silence to this maniac that shot the five police, you just see what’s going on. It’s a very, very sad situation.”

Then later at the Indiana rally: “The other night you had 11 cities potentially in a blow-up stage. Marches all over the United States—and tough marches. Anger. Hatred. Hatred! Started by a maniac! And some people ask for a moment of silence for him. For the killer!”"
That’s the lie. Nobody called for a moment of silence for the black man.

But since you want to talk about Miss Alabama - let’s contemplate her words, for a minute:

She’s being honest about her tormented feelings - while simultaneously acknowledging that her feelings are wrong. James shows more honesty and humility in her statement than Donald Trump has shown us in a whole year.

Admitting that she feels conflicted while acknowledging that it’s wrong to feel that way shows depth and complexity. Her honest distress is entirely divorced from Trump’s cynical appropriation of Hitler’s playbook.

It’s the old Fox News ploy. “Some people are saying …” “No, we didn’t say it!”

If someone never has a feeling that is wrong, one is an angel, and we need not worry about them.

The slight downtick that happened this afternoon appears to be the result of Fox News polls in Colorado and Florida that are show Clinton with a continuing lead. Those are battleground states, and even a tiny GOP slip in either is Trump-unfriendly.

Perhaps Gary Johnson will be a mensch, do the right thing for his country, and endorse Clinton, but he’s not, so he won’t.

ETA: Just to keep you all up to date on what secret Trump propagandist and Dilbert author Scott Adams is saying, he’s now claiming Hilary Clinton is the one inciting racial violence. I am not joking.

I kinda like the guy, seen a couple of interviews, and he seems a bit, well…goofy! An endearing characteristic, in other circumstances.

So was he saying that he would uphold the 12th Amendment? The one that talks about how to elect the President and Vice President? Well, that’s good news, I really expect he’ll try to be President for Life.

Looks like Trump is scrambling to find a VP in time to announce on Friday. McCain was rushed by the end of his search in 2008, and we all know how well that turned out!: http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/13/politics/donald-trump-vice-presidential-candidate-us-election/index.html
