Nonsense. Northern New Mexico cuisine has Tex-Mex beat all to hell, and that’s not just my usual Texas antipathy talking. You want bland, eat Tex-Mex, you want wonderfully spicy, go Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
Second this. When I was working in Albuquerque, I went to sooo many great Mexican restaurants. And Taos and Santa Fe, as well. So many great non-Mexican restaurants, too.
