When Trump was complaining about the debates being scheduled opposite football games, he said that the NFL had sent him a letter complaining about the debates schedule.
The NFL says, “No, we didn’t.”
One wonders why the NFL would have sent him a letter instead of the people organizing the debates.
Maybe that should have gone in the Donald Trump Lie of the Day thread.
According to Snopes, Trump hadn’t started receiving briefings yet, so he didn’t spill any secrets. Apparently he did, though, just sling some bullshit, complaining about us paying rent for a facility we haven’t used in over a decade. (And why would a guy who made a fortune as a landlord begrudge property owners charging us rent for use of it.). Anyway, it’s a mark of the Trump scampaign that we give him a pass for talking out of his ass because, hey!, at least he’s not calling for defaulting on our debt or asking Russia to spy on us. His baseline stupidity hardly registers anymore.
