Glad to hear she’s feeling better. I hope she continues to improve.
I’m glad to hear she’s doing better and here’s to a continued improvement. Now YOU, my friend, make sure you take care of yourself too. Don’t make me come out there!
[big squishy hugs]
Ma’am! Yes, Ma’am!!!

Quasi
We went to the grocery store for the first time today, and all those motorized carts were in use, so she had to hold on to me as we walked with a regular cart.
I’m gonna have to “jerk a knot in her tail” though, because she refuses to wear her portable O2 when we’re out!
She’s also not ready to drive, and I’m not supposed to anymore, so we get some friends who live close to us to pick up our necessities.
Gotta tell y’all I am soooo sick of peanut butter sandwiches, I could puke, but I don’t complain because it would only make her feel worse because she can’t cook for me, which she loves to do.
Next week she has an appoinment with three different docs, 2 on the same day, and she will be wearing her portable O2, pride be damned!
Thanks, my friends
Quasi
Glad she was feeling well enough to go out!!
If she’s stubborn about the O2, I could send my sister-in-law down there to “tear her a new one”. Those are my mother-in-law’s words, when she’d been ill for several months, hiding her condition from the family, refusing help etc. Long story short, SIL read MIL the RIOT ACT about being so STOOPID about hiding what was going on, refusing help, etc… and MIL started saying “Ma’am! Yes Ma’am!!” and doing what she needed to do, and got better.
She wants to go back to work already, but I’m sayin’ NOT!
We’ll have to tighten our belts a little and buy store brand, but that’s fine.
In addition, I’m looking for something I can work at to take up the slack created by losing her hospital pay.
Enterprise car rental is holding a spot for me to wash and clean cars. They sponsored me twice on my Texas-Georgia bicyle rides, and they know about the dementia, so I’m just waiting to hear back.
Thanks, Mama Z and the 'Knig as well!
Your pal,
Quasi
Heya Quasi, glad things are moving forward and Dondra’s feeling a little better <and stubborn, I see! >. Just wanted to say try tossing sliced pickles and mayo on that peanut butter sammich; it’s a lot better than it sounds and cuts the sweet with some salty tang.
