Can I call you Al?
How about comrade?
I can’t tell the differences between upper case i and lower case L . Are you talking about AI or Al?
Why would I call anyone ‘Artificial Intelligence’?
Calling someone “Artificial Intelligence” (AI) would generally be a way to refer to a machine or system that has been designed to simulate aspects of human intelligence, like problem-solving, learning, or decision-making. In this context, “Artificial” refers to the fact that the intelligence is not biological but is created by humans, typically using computer algorithms and models.
In a conversation, though, calling someone “Artificial Intelligence” might be a playful or sarcastic way of pointing out that they’re acting in a very logical, calculated, or “robotic” way, like they’re relying on data or strict reasoning rather than emotions or human intuition.
It could also be a term used more generally to describe a person who is extremely rational, precise, or unemotional in their approach, which could either be a compliment or a critique depending on the tone. But it’s definitely more commonly used to refer to non-human systems that mimic human thought processes. Would you be using it in this context, or are you referring to something else?
Haley Joel Osment told me to stop calling him “Sixth Sense”. That’s why.
Did you use AI to create this post? A
Yeah, he doesn’t like me calling him Gump Jr., either.
You wanna take it outside, Bucko?
(Why yes, I grew up watching “Happy Days.” How did you know?)
This reminds me of the best “fightin’ words” I have heard uttered IRL…
On a bus in San Francisco there were two guys about get into a full on physical altercation. The last thing I heard as I got off the bus was one guy say to the other “Don’t call me bro! My daddy’s shoes were never under your Mama’s bed”
Jeez, whatever happened to the friendly appelation of, “pal”?

Are you feeling better today, Boss?
Once you call someone a “minx” you are fair game, kid.
I will note that I have recovered from my experience with the aid of this thread.
What if I had said coquette?
And why is it OK to call her a minx, but not OK to call him bud?
This.
Doesn’t help.
