I’ve been having weird problems with my clock radio alarm thingy too.

I haven’t been around the boards much in the past few days. Been keeping busy.
I ended up getting a free drink last night. Nice

**Morgyn **- do you live anywhere near southern MD? I’ve got a clock radio that’s set aside for Goodwill, but it’s yours if you’re close enough to get it.
We’re back from erranding and crab monitoring, and we attempted to get some firewood, but no luck at the Amish guy’s place - he said he’d call on Thurs, but we’d like to have our wood before we leave.
I bought some supplies for baking - I’m going to try oatmeal cookies with craisins - I bet they’ll be yum. And I’ll be using my good cookie recipe rather than the new one that pretty much failed. My FIL loves oatmeal cookies, so we’ll take a batch with us when we go. Because I’m nice, dammit!!
Wish I were, but I think you’re several hours away–I’m about halfway between Reading and Philly. (You’re right, you’re nice, damnit.)
What’s crab monitoring? Some kind of catch and release?
VunderBob, I’m so sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I hope someone makes a therapy breakthrough soon so you don’t have to go the transplant route.
Bobbio, I’m sorry to read about your diagnosis.
Today is my RDO and I have nothing planned but calling insurance companies and fighting with them. I’m so sick of this.
Baker, the Greek food sounds really good. You may have flung a cravin’ on me. Most of the RCC and Episcopal churches around here have their blessing of the animals service this weekend too. There’s always a news piece shot at one.
Mooom, the oatmeal cookies with craisins sound good. Truly, the only thing you could possibly do to ruin a good oatmeal cookie is to put coconut in it.
We work under contract for DNR to verify that the crabbers are making accurate reports about their catch. We show up randomly and unannounced, and we make reports via tablet. It’s fairly easy money - $75 plus mileage when we leave the house, $25 if we just check the website and no one goes out that day. The only thing is, we only go out 2 or 3 times a week, so it’s not a lot of money, but since we’re retired, is just fun money anyway.
Where, Montco or Chester? In other words, which direction should I face when I wave?
When I woke up this morning I thought I’d head out to Hagerstown. Got to make the move sometime and today was going to be the day.
Then I thought I have a 9am doctor appt on Monday at Uof M, three hour drive from Hagerstown, and Sah-son is here by himself. He’s 19, more than capable of staying by himself but since it;s just the two of us why not enjoy it while it lasts.
So I figured I’d stay until Monday.
Should have left today.
Montco. Pottstown.
Evenin’ all! {{**Bbbobbio[/]}}
Leafletting again. I’ve now finished the list of places I was given, so I dunno if there’ll be more than a day’s worth of places left before it’s all over til the next newsletter. Accordingly, I’m on a job hunt again… sigh … am I ever not job hunting?
It looks very much like the security company is going to go under shortly, and I think I’ve been offered a Shift From Hell tomorrow. It’s someone’s party, at their house.
Maybe it’ll be something nicer, but I very much doubt it- who hires security for a private party unless they expect Trouble? Last time they did one of them, it ended about 8am, and got incredibly messy.
If it is something similar, I think I’ll actually just turn it down- it’s hardly as though he can offer me fewer shifts after all.
Then you’ll probably recognize Limerick & the outlet maul (before they opened for the day); that’s Costco on the right & 422 at the bottom.
In other news, I’ve just wasted two hours. I was making a movie (& diligently saving along the way) but the last save got corrupted - I can see it but not edit it at all so I have to go back to the beginning & start all over. :smack:
I just realized, I haven’t blurfed at all y’all yet today, so
blurf!
Firewood has been procured and stacked - about 1/2 of a cord. It’s under a sheet of plastic and it’s just outside the basement door for convenient winter use. I declare us almost ready for winter.
Once we run the generator for a bit and make sure we’ve got a few cans of gas, we should be set. But first, a week in Floriduh. Rah.
Thank you for remembering the Little People.
You live that close to me? Yowza.
I ordered a clock radio from Amazon. Should be delivered Monday or Tuesday-ish. I don’t care about the USB recharging capability, but the rest is pretty nice.
Howdy from da cave! I declare the irkweek over! YAY!!! Pizza is also on the way via OYKW. YAY!!! However, that is not the big news.
THERE’S A GAS WAR GOIN’ ON!!!
A new convenience store opened this mornin’ on the main road to da cave road. They dropped their gas price to $2.48/gal. The Exxon sto’ a half mile away did likewise. The Homerun Sto’ two miles away dropped theirs to $2.53. Oddly enough the Chevron Sto’ is at $3.04. So, natch, I gassed up yestiddy at Sam’s feelin’ all smug because gas was $3.06/gal.
Anywho, cars are backed up and into the main road at all three places therefore makin’ traffic a delight. :dubious:
I’m not that close, but we do launch from near you. Next time you see a balloon, wave - it might just be me!
Swampy - the king of TMI; I wasn’t thinking you were talking about petrol when I saw your headline. :o
Really? I’ve seen some lovely balloons sailing by. Taking a ride in one is on my bucket list. You launch from the Pottstown airport?
So the carport thingie. The driveway has too much of a slope. So my mother and her bf are not happy. I don’t know why the salesman didn’t know that before he told them it could be done.
Gas wars a cool Swampy. Prices are dropping around here but not that low.
Red Iron has always had the opposite effect on me. Usually I am doubled over in pain from the burning and everything is coming out faster than it is going in. I’m doing my best to take it on a full stomach.
Rosie had a blurf
I have a grumph, I think I may need anger management classes.
We don’t; that’s someone else from the airport. PMed you info on both.
