Man, these guys take their golf seriously!
Hilarious prank gone wrong.

How was it a hilarious prank? It was a couple of idiots fucking with someone’s game.
ETA: I guess you might have meant something also expressed by: “Hilarious! Prank gone wrong.”
For those who want to know if they want to watch it:
Some teens send out an RC car to the green. The old guys tee-off on the car and then chase the after the kids too - swinging their golf clubs.
The guys were over the top - but the kids were way out of line. I still got a chuckle.
Funny video, but when it comes to prank videos these days, I always find myself wondering what’s real (i.e. a prank with truly unwitting victims) and what’s staged.
That’s what I meant. I see by what I typed in my OP that it wasn’t clear. The old guys over-reacted for sure, but…hey, its golf!
And to MachineElf: yeah, I had some suspicions about this one, mostly because of the coddling of the RC toy (it having a name “Burrita”, etc)…but I don’t know. Its funny (to me) regardless. It reminded me of this scene from the Michael Douglas movie “Falling Down”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuT12_bPla8
Kind of funny. I would probably get a laugh even if I was on the receiving end, especially if I was losing. Although I can understand how someone else wouldn’t find it funny at all. I have to agree with some previous posts that I suspect this is staged.
I once played a far better prank at a golf course.
On the 17th, a par 3, I hit my tee shot into the bunker behind the green. Because the 18th tee was along a path on the other side of the green, I left my buggy there and took my sand wedge and putter to the bunker.
I blasted out onto the green and putted out. We called the next group on as we left the green.
They played their tee shots and I realized I had left my sand wedge by the bunker. I walked back across the green to get it while the next group walked up the fairway.
As I walked back to my buggy, for no reason at all, I kicked one of the balls into the hole. At the next tee I watched as the guys looked around for the ball. Eventually someone looked in the cup and the excitement made the whole thing worthwhile.
I will do it again if the opportunity arises. Costs me nothing and gives some stranger an unforgettable memory. And they have to shout the bar, at least in Australia.
Wow. That’s not funny. At all.
I’d better not type any more here…
If the groundskeeper had caught them with that machine on the green, they have had even more trouble.
Especially if the groundskeeper is named Carl Spackler!
The old guys were not over the top. I’m sorry that one old guy didn’t jam his putter up that punk’s ass and make him look like a popsicle.
Oooh, a Warriors reference! Bad Ajax…BAD!
Awsesome. Fuckin’ punk bitches.
Joe
Fake.
Pranksters let the car get hit.
Camera was focused on the guy chasing them the whole time they were running. Unlikely.
Anybody familiar with R/C truck shells (the plastic body) knows they are completely expendable, and would be laughing when they looked the truck over.
What was pretty cool and certainly not fake was the fact that the kid driving the RC car managed to plant the first golf ball right in the hole.
Also…that old guy clubbed the car pretty hard…wouldn’t that damage more than just the outer shell? Just because it popped off the outer shell doesn’t mean internals weren’t damaged also.
Of course, it could be an expensive fake.
Yeah, I got a fake vibe from it, too. At the beginning, it looks like they’re hiding behind some bushes; but when they’re chased away later in the same direction, everything looks wide open. Makes me think they weren’t all that well concealed to begin with.
I think you are confusing the hole with the shadow of the flag on the pin (which is in the actual hole).
Looks fake to me. One second they are running for their lives, the next they stop to inspect the car seeming to have forgotten about the mad putter wielding senior who should only be about ten yards away at that point.
Get off my lawn!!!
I’m leaning towards “fake.” The one golfer’s reaction is just too over-the-top, and too fast: he approached the green and swung on the car as soon as he got there. Since an RC car is not something I’d expect to find on a golf course, I’d guess that most people would watch for a bit, or laugh, or say “what the hell?” or just express some other form of “we didn’t expect this” before they took such drastic action.
I agree, that’s just stupid and IMO mean spirited.
