While I agree with you, you have to remember, the purpose in some people’s lives is solely to find things to bitch and moan about. That is what makes them happy. They seek this out in any and all ways possible. They have no intention of leaving this board, because they can find fault in many things, people, subjects, etc. on this board. It is a haven for them. It will always be this way. They hide behind the facade that they are entitled to their opinion, and indeed they are and respectfully so, but their opinion is to cause strife, so they will have something to bitch and moan about. Took me a couple of months to see this, but, once you see if you basically just ignore it.

Since the OP is about all the complainers in general and Kelli in particular (I’m assuming here) I have to ask those that are jumping on the Kelli bandwagon.
Do you not lose respect for someone that has “had it” and is leaving for good, only to go over to the snopes board and find she isn’t the treasured little kitten she thinks she is, so she leaves in a huff and comes back here only to threaten that she’s leaving.
(Okay, okay, that was a badly structured sentence, but you get my point)
Other than I personally think she over-reacted to Ed (which is neither here nor there as my personal opinion is worth diddly squat), the thing that makes me lose respect for her is she doesn’t have the balls to back up her histrionics. It seems to me that she very much needs to feel loved and backed up by her friends on this board, so she creates situations that will validate her needs. That’s all well and good, but at some point one has to mature and find their own happiness.

The idea of a UBB Forum is to share ideas, have a good time, and toss intellectual dialog back and forth…if you get offended…big deal…people are dicks, life is tough, and shit happens! At some point, yes. That only makes sense, right? I mean, you try to improve something, you try and try and try, and it just still sucks, in your opinion. Eventually, yes, it’s better to shake the dust off your shoes and leave than stay, continue to bitch and moan, and aggravate other people who do not agree with you but are tired of the bitching and moaning. (And I am not talking about you personally.)

Look, it just seems to me that a number of posters just wait for the latest dust-up so they can gleefully jump back in and resume crapping all over the moderators and administrators, and kvetching about how things “ought” to be run around here. At some point, if you don’t like it, and it’s not changing – and, face it, it’s not – then hell yes, you should leave.
I was going to bring up the fact that Kel does seem to have an unhealthy need to be loved and tends to create situations that bring her friends running with warm snugglies and all, but I didn’t want to make her cry again.

I thought she was airheaded but harmless for the most part, but now I see she’s got some issues that go a tad deeper. I’d prefer she didn’t leave, but if she did, her choice, and good riddance.
Coulda said kelli was overreacting to the first post on the ‘Ed Zotti’ thread. Maybe. But Ed’s second one turned it from a single instance of bad judgment (stuffy guy tries to be ‘one of the boys’; fails badly) to a major rip.
Before the second post, a small apology on Ed’s part would have done the job. Full Grovel Mode would be more appropriate now.

I have been reading the Kel threads that were posted today and I can’t speak for anyone else, but I don’t like how ugly they have become, especially my contributions (not that I am retracting anything I wrote).
I can’t promise that this will be my last post on the subject (you know how it is easy to get sucked back in for one last word) but I am going to try really hard to end it, at least from my end.
I don’t hate Kel, I just don’t like the martyr, dish it out but can’t take it attitude she shows on the board. Hell, I might really like her a lot if we met in person. Who knows.
I don’t want to hurt her by dragging this on any further. I ask that we end it now and get on to other topics.
