Hey, all this time I thought I was just petting my dog, but instead, I was doing doggie massage and accupressure!

Some people have more dollars than sense.

I utilize previous massage training to give my pets Ultra-Strokes™. You should see the way that they trance out when I’m petting them. I know that they are much more intensely bonded to me because of it.

Now, as to all the psychobabble and “essential oils.” Sounds a lot more like banana oil to me!

I have a book that shows you how to do acupressure on dogs. I used it on my old dog who had back problems. He loved it. Problem was, he didn’t want me to stop. Ever.

Dinsdale, this thread cracks me up.

Because . . .

Two blocks from my house there is a black lab named, “Dinsdale”.

Whenever I read your posts, I imagine Dinsdale sitting in his kennel, posting to the SDMB.

And my dog LOVES Dinsdale. She starts whining half a block away and will run into his yard, looking for him. If he’s in his kennel, she barks at him to come play. She’s even gone up and scratched on the people’s door to get him to come outside. It’s hilarious.

(singing) “She wants to hug him, she wants to kiss him, she thinks he’s pretty.”

That’s all,

Whistlepig

Great, forevermore I will picture Dinsdale as a black lab. For some reason I also picture you wearing a spiffy red collar and wire-rim glasses. There is a fireplace in your doghouse and it’s a lovely brown leather chair you’re sitting in as you post on the boards. You have a bit of a problem with your mouse, but your paw-to-eye coordination is improving.

Essential oils? Doggie odor plus geranium oil equals slippery, uber smelly pooch. Massage is good though.

Uh wistlepig - would you mind scratching between my ears. Ahh - that’s the spot!

Of course, I think there are folk around here who would say the quality of my posts would be an insult to the average retriever…

This thread just made my day. Thanks for the laugh.

Dinsdale, I think it’s safe to say that black labs are not generally regarded as canine Einsteins. Therefore, it is equally safe to say that the retrievers most likely are insulted.

So what are the best aromatherapy scents for dogs? Other dog’s shit? Rotten shrimp? Kitty box treats?

Also a quilted red smoking jacket and a fez. Don’t ask me why.

I’m guessing 4 day old garbage, and visitor’s crotch.
