No work tomorrow. Missy Prissy couldn’t be bothered to get anything together for me to do today or tomorrow. I spent much of today doing mandatory training on line and making a couple of teensy corrections to drawings I’d done earlier this week. I also discovered that my boss apparently doesn’t have a lot of power - he had to call his boss to make sure it was OK that I take the day off. Then again, it’s good that she knows that I’m not getting work to do.
MP’s off tomorrow, so I’m going to try to go to my mom’s for plantage Firday instead of Saturday. Plus I need to cover for **FCD **on Sat in case any crabbers go out. I’m pretty sure there won’t be any, so I’ll have the day to plant. The weather, as **sari **has mentioned, is gorgeous!!!
Supper tonight is Hamburger Helper, jazzed up with veggies, because plain HH is boring. It was that or sketties and I’m not really in a sketty mood. So the beef is thawing, and in a little bit, I’ll start throwing the ingrediments together.
Early bedtime tonight, I think. I had a terrible night last night - couldn’t fall asleep at all! It was as if I was over-caffeinated. It was close to midnight before I finally dropped off. So that added to my lack of stuff to do at the office made it a craptastic day.
But it was still better than a sharp stick in the eye. -->;)

Howdy fellow mumpers! Home from irk early for the second day in a row. Yesterday I saw my regular doc for flu shot and refills on my drugs ie blood pressure, cholesterol, heartburn… Today I saw the eye Doc. Since elder sis has glaucoma I had a through exam that took two and a half damn hours, patience is not a strong suit. Well they dilated my eyes and by the time I got back to irk I was not liking it. Oh, this cost me over $900. But I am getting two pairs, both progressives- one with clip on and a treat for me a pair of transitions.
Just realized I have a big ole splinter in the underneath of my big toe, in the joint. Hubby loves to did out splinters. He says it doesn’t hurt him a bit. Rolleyes insert here.
I need a vacay. Haven’t been anywhere since 2009 and that was a Seminar at Sea on the Mexican Rivera. Worked the whole damn time. I have use or lose. Problem is I do stuff no one else can do including my boss. As a supervisor my policy is never ask my staff to anything I can’t do. So, what to do? Go anyway and deal with the pile of work when I get back or just don’t go?
My left blinker started going really fast. Colleagues pulled in behind me when I went back after eye doc and said it’s the taillight. So I left early w my dilated eyes and stopped at Napa for a bulb. Nice young man changed it for me and only charged me 2.67 for the bulb. I gave him 8.00$. I know it weren’t enough but he staid thanks.
Ok that’s the news from paradise. Hubby is home from Winn Dick me to cook pork chops, sautéed turnips and mashed NOTS. I will make a salad and partake of beers until salad construction time.

HH wasn’t bad. Dishes are done and shortly, I will assume the knit position. Wish there was some ice cream in the house.

Nemo please do share. The decision has been made to go visit my family in early November. I do not consider family trip a vacation but I have not seen 3 out of 4 of my siblings in near bout 7 or 8 years.
So we will see Sonny boy hear Tallahassee and meander over to Apalachicola sic for some oysters- since it’s an R month. Have niece near there. Then to the Peach state to see my fam and hubby’s fam. Now what to do w/ Louie, my adored Chihuahua.
I will be miserable w/o him so I guess LL will just have to learn to enjoy travel. A local well know Vet just opened a new Vet Hospital and they have a few luxury dog runs where I can log in and see him on the net at anytime. That would make it easier for me.
Don’t worry, they’ll take good care of Louie.
