If you don’t mind the bump, JC, I’ve got a possible situation and a question:

Next week, me and mi esposa (and El Niño) are seriously considering driving from E-City (NC) to Clinton, NY, to hear Bruce Campbell speak at Hamilton College. (Why not? It’s Fall Break for me and The Kid and I’ve never been to New York.) Anyway, IF we make the drive (weather and $$$ permitting), I would like to try to convince her to drive through your neck of the woods on the way back down to NC; that’d be the Saturday of Dope-A-Ween. I think. It’s next Saturday, right?

Bottom line: if we drive to New York next Thurs./Fri. and if I can convince her to let us stop by for the Par-Tay (however brief our stay might be; it is a Par-Tay, right? I can’t be bothered for a mere party.), and if y’all don’t mind… could you e-mail me (it’s in my profile) the directions and stuff?

It’s relevant to my plans! I’ve got an Olde College Chume that lives up in Harrisburg whom I haven’t seen since 1995 or 1996 (although we’ve been in constant communication via The Miracle Of E-Mail). So hopefully on Saturday morning, we’ll leave Clinton, stop in H-burg for a bit, and then continue tracking south.

Well I have the new car, but Gas for the Aztek will kill me. If anyone from NJ on south wants a lift and will help with gas I’ll pick you up and I’ll be able to go, otherwise yet another year I miss the bash :frowning:

Ginger, Circus Peanuts are these peanut-shaped marshmallow candies that are orange in color and banana in flavor. They’ve got roughly the same consistency as Styrofoam, if Styrofoam melted in your mouth. They’re bizarrely addictive, although they do last in our house until Dave gets a hold of the package. (It’s these little quirks that I find so charming.)
