I knew JC was from Chi-town, but like I just told him in an email, I was expecting that cry of agony yesterday. Seeing it today, when my mind had moved on to other things (like the Red Sox’ parallel moment of agony), caught me by surprise.

If it’s any consolation, JC, I so desperately wanted the Cubs and Red Sox to make the World Series that I won’t be watching it at all. The Marlins and Yankees, after all, have the best teams money can buy, and since this is the case, certainly don’t need any of mine.

Well, I don’t think it’s fair to say that the Marlin’s have an expensive team. The Marlins team salary is only $52 Million. The Yankees are three times that.

The Marlins have 14 players making $1 Million or less and of those 6 are making the minimum of $300,000 (must be nice, eh).
