Doper Ornament Exchange 2005

You haven’t received them yet? Grrrrr, to the PO

I knew it wasn’t going to make it on time, but I didn’t think it would take this long. Well, you can enjoy them next year.

Heh, I think that the blame doesn’t lay on the PO in this one, but on the store I went to. The PO was crowded, so I went to a small Pakmail close by. They had already lost a small package of mine, but had gotten the others right. I guess they got it half right this time. :frowning:

crosses fingers that it shows up soon

Well, it has been a week since I’ve mailed it. Any joy in Mudville, LoganDear?

Got it yesterday, a star with “Texas” on it, and another star to go along with it (is it supposed to be attached to the other star?), thanks EvilAsh! Even though it was late, I’ll have a Texas ornament to hang on my tree next year. It’ll be the first Christmas tree I can call my very own (I don’t have to share it with anyone else! - I guess that’s a good thing…). Thanks! And uhhh… Merry Christmas!

Maybe I’ll get lucky in 2006 . . .

Tamryne has very kindly sent me a new ornament to replace the one that was lost in the mail. I certainly didn’t expect her to do that – luck of the draw and all that – but I thank her regardless! It’s a lovely silver snowflake ornament with large crystal beads and stained-glass inserts, with a place for a photo in the middle. Lovely for a winter decoration in general, really! I already know whose picture is going in it: our beloved late springer spaniel, Miss Emily Kimberly.

And the timing couldn’t have been better: my sister and her kids are coming today to spend the weekend for our belated Christmas. (She’s divorced, the kids spent Christmas with their dad, and this was the first weekend we could coordinate to get together).

Oh, and Tamryne, you should get better with practice on the snowflake project I sent you. 18 hours – yikes! I haven’t made one for a while, but I’m pretty sure it didn’t take us that long. It is a little clumsy until your fingers learn the knots. Good luck!

Im glad the second ornament arrived safe and sound! I wrapped it as many times as I could in bubble wrap, to make sure it came to you in one piece.

I am beyond clumsy when it comes to anything involving string. I love creating crafts with string, it just takes me forever. I hope your second christmas works wonderfully!
