Since we have exchanges for Valentines, Christmas and Og knows what all else, I decided it’s time to have one for my favorite holiday, Halloween. I know we have many folks here who feel the same way, so I thought it was about time to swap some ghostly goodies with those who feel the same way. With that said, I cribbed this opener from feppytweed (hope they don’t mind – thanks!) because I didn’t think I could improve on perfection. The set-up…
Here’s how it works (for those not in-the-know): Everyone signs up, I jumble the names up, and we exchange a Halloween token(s) of some sort. If you feel the urge to accompany this with more than one thing, all the better.
The rules:
Since we’re no longer pay-to-post, I’m going to open it to everyone. Send an email to faithfool@gmail.com and be sure to include your real name and address, screen name, and whether or not you’re willing to ship out of the US and if you’d like to exchange with more than one person.
You can send anything you like as long as it’s Halloween themed.
In the past, there are always one or two people that sign up and then drop off of the face of the planet, so PLEASE, don’t sign up if you are going to be too busy to send your giftlet.
I’ll arbitrarily set the end date for October 17th, and have the emails sent out by October 19th (Monday). I’ll post in this thread when the exchange is closed, but I’m pretty easy to accept last minute participants.
Any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
And finally, thanks to Marley23 and others for approving this. I’m much obliged. I hope it turns into a rousing success with many more years to come. Let’s all enjoy this and bring on the treats!!
Just a reminder… if you want to participate, also make sure you reply to this thread. I’ve gotten a couple of independent emails and I’ll be using this thread as the master to compare who-all-are-playing counts to.
A note to all participating: if you didn’t include information to the contrary, I’m only setting you up with one recipient. If you prefer more than that and didn’t tell me any different, please let me know ASAP.
Because through tomorrow is the last chance at corrections or, as the case may be, anyone else who’d like to sign up. Who sends who what will be emailed out by Monday.
Just a head’s up… I’m making out the exchange list today and I’ve had to email a few people to know specifically how many folks you’d like to swap with and whether or not you’d be willing to mail outside the US. So if y’all don’t mind, please get those emails back to me as soon as possible. Thanks!
