Doper Parents: What are your kids going to be for halloween?

My 4-year-old is going as Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (Don’t ask me; his dad and I don’t even watch NASCAR, but he loves it.)

My 10-month-old is going as the devil. Fat babies with horns and tails are always cute.

No, I didn’t make either costume. I just wasn’t that motivated, but I might borrow that Lego idea for next year…

My 6-month old, Anya, is going as a hot chick.

She already won one costume contest, and appeared in the newspaper to boot:

Ivyboy, at 16, has declared he is too old for trick or treating. However, he is not too old to scare the bejesus out of kids who ring the doorbell, so he will be wearing a black robe, complete with hood and a black cloth cover over his face. He has a little battery operated classes to wear, so he can have his “eye” behind the cover glow red.

Ivygirl is going as Cleopatra. We have the wig, but I have to trim the bangs. I have a gold asp bracelet to wrap around her arm, and she will be borrowing my clothes to make her costume. And I have told her, “No, you cannot pour gold glitter over my white tanktop.”

Tinkleberry is going as a baby devil for his first outside-the-uterus halloween. Last year we jointly went as a pumpkin (I was 8 months along).

My 7 year old son is going to be…Inigo Montoya.

He has his line all ready: “Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father! Prepare to give me candy!”

I love my kid!

I have a real life Dorothy - but she’s going as a clown.
