If we’re counting partners, wherein one’s own genitals come out for fun (so we won’t count doctors) on at least one occasion, then for me it seems to be exactly 20, over a period of 33 years. We won’t count when I was younger than 13, as there were no encounters during that period anyway, nor should there have been. So that’s 0.6 per annum. Some annums were slower than others.

I lost my virginity in October 2005 (at 23) and have had four partners in the sixteen months since. Three of those were for one night only and the other was a half dozen times over a few months.

although that number sort of skews because #5 was my ex who I broke up with approximately a year ago, so 9 of them are within the last 12 months, and the other 5 are in the intervening 2 years. For that matter, 3 of them were in one, uh, questionable, weekend :eek:, and 5 of the remainder were within one month at the end of the last summer.
One gf is the majority of the # of times (it averaged out to like 1.5 times a day for our 7 month relationship).

I’m curious about the average number of times with each person. As for me, I’m not averse to the concept of one-night stands but it’s just never happened that spontaneously for me; I can’t think of anyone I’ve had sex with fewer than 5 or 6 times if we had sex at all. The one exception is my last girlfriend; we only had sex once but we dated on-and-off for four months and were active enough in other ways, so it certainly wasn’t a one-night stand.

Here’s mine: I lost mine on St. Patrick’s Day (1987) … to an Irish-blooded redhead! She wasn’t a drunk hookup (it was two months before my 21st birthday); we’d been dating for a short time.
