I was wondering how Torie’s gall bladder is doing.
I had mine brutally, I mean surgically removed 2 months ago. It’s been awful.

Thanks for asking, Thinks2Much, but you’re probably going to think I’m an idiot. I ended up not going to the doctor, so I don’t really know what was going on there. The reason I didn’t go is that the afternoon before my appointment, I threw my back out getting my baby out of his bath. I literally could not move and laid there on the floor as my naked son proceeded to get my toothbrush off the sink and use it to swoosh the water in the toilet around. Then he peed - on the floor. Not one of my best days. I laid there and cried until I managed to crawl out, cajoling my son to follow, got a diaper on him, and laid on the couch until my husband got home. So, since I was still unable to walk the next day, I cancelled the appointment, fully meaning to call and reschedule.
A couple days later, my period came. It was very, very heavy and accompanied by really bad cramps (which I usually don’t have), so I suspect that I had an early miscarriage. Compounding that suspicion is the fact that I got my period again 1 1/2 weeks later, at my normally scheduled time of the month. That was normal and I think everything’s fine. My husband and I are, after a very unpleasant December, back in the saddle (so to speak) on the baby-making front.
My son is scheduled to get his 18 month vaccinations in a couple weeks, so I’m going to mention my adventures to our doctor (we have the same GP) and see if she thinks a more investigative approach should be taken.
Anyway, that’s about it. It was very bizarre seeing my name in a thread title! It’s weird - I sometimes forget that I’m not just typing into a vacuum and that there are actual real, live people reading it.
I want to hear about the lady whose cat was in the dryer, last I heard he was kinda dizzy, but okay, I want a follow up!

I’m wondering how HelenTroy is doing after leaving her heartless husband. I did a search but came up with no updates.
Bounce is alive and well. He’s a little loopy–he occasionally falls over or bumps into things if he runs about at high speed–but I’m not sure if that’s from brain damage or if he’s just no Einstein. He is smart enough to stay out of the dryer, though. (And I am still sufficiently traumatized that I can’t put a pair of wet shoes in there, because it makes me sick to my stomach to hear them thumping around.)
He’s also quite small, as are the other two kittens from that litter. They’re little miniature cats. My son insists that they’re mutants, but I think they’re adorable, especially compared to our two older male cats who are absolutely huge in comparison. Their momma is small (fluffy, but small under all that hair), so I think they’ve inherited their stature.
I periodically remind Bounce how lucky he was that the Doper community is comprised of so many cat-lovers.
