The ride up probably wouldn’t be a problem, but I somehow doubt I could get a ride back to a campground in Clifford, Ontario (near Watch-Out-For-The-Water-Walkerton) which is where the SO will be for the duration of the week following.
It seems likely (though not certain) that I can pass by. I haven’t been to Montréal for ten years, and I’m suffering from Métro-withdrawl. <imploring look at matt_mcl> Any chance of a tour?
I’d be taking the train from T.O. Sleeping place: I’d be (if possible) pestering someone in Pasporta Servo for a place to sleep (note to self: check to see whether there in fact are any Pasporta Servo hosts in Montréal), or staying at the HI hostel, or, if worse comes to worst, staying in Ottawa.
N.B. Must brush up on French. Je désire du flocons du maïs granulées ain’t gonna cut it…
Cripes. I doubt you need to implore him anymore than you would should you have a nutella-covered nekkid Charlie Hunnam on your hands who needed a good licking clean.
Ottadopers needing a ride: Speak up or forever hold your peace. No holding Eonwe’s piece though. scott evil told me that he likes it a little too much.
Anyhoo, here’s who were expecting. If you’re in this list and can’t make it, or if you’re not on the list and are planning on coming, do let the Doperéal 2003 Planning Committee know.

We also have some Dopers from the Toronto area who don’t seem to be able to get their acts together.
has anyone else been to the Just for Laughs Festival? i’ve been living here for over 10 years and this was my first time:D
very much enjoyed an Australian man do a show on a unicycle
For the Friday, I guess it depends on who’s here from out of town. A light dinner, maybe, then drinks somewhere. I still want to go do karaoke at Club Date in the Village. I hear matt has an angelic voice that makes the Baby Jesus weep tears of joy.
Saturday, a cemetery tour was suggested. I’ll look into it. I think there might be a metro tour in the works as well. Then Saturday evening, the traditional Dopefest dinner, followed by whatever. Lovebirds CuriousCanuck and Eonwe have some beer tasting competition thing they want to do.
Sunday would be La Ronde, if people are up for that. (It’s $29 for admission with unlimited rides.) Given the price, a cheap cheap cheap lunch would be in order. And no going to Hong Kong (where we went last year and at Sugardope) again. They were busted and fined $10,000 not too long ago, for unsanitary nastiness!
But the food was soooo good Anyway, maybe Indian or Lebanese for Sunday’s brunch ? I would avoid the La Ronde’s concessions unless absolutely necessary, don’t you agree ?
