OK kids, here’s the itinerary for Doperéal. I’ve made the dinner reservations.

Friday, August 23: Meet for drinks at 9 in the Village (metro Beaudry), probably at Drugstore. Thing is, I looked them up on the web and the only Village listing was “Voyages Le Drugstore,” and last I heard it wasn’t a travel agency, so I’ll have to get back to you on that. If I can’t find out, we can meet outside metro Beaudry. In any case, I’ll have a sign that reads “SDMB” and a Wonder Woman doll.

Saturday, August 24:

Afternoon: Biôdome
1 PM
4777, avenue Pierre-De Coubertin, metro Viau
Meet at front entrance
Admission: $10 adult, $7.50 student
Again, the SDMB sign, unless it’s destroyed by spilled drinks. :wink:
Dinner: Moe’s Deli and Bar
7 PM

The guy on the phone said if it was nice out, they’d set us up on the terrace.

This followed by a stroll through Old Montreal and the Old Port.

Sunday brunch: dim sum in Chinatown

I don’t know of any good dim sum places, so we’ll wing it.
Meet at the gates to Chinatown (you can’t miss it) at René-Levesque and St-Laurent.
Metro St-Laurent.

This followed by a stroll up the Main and rue St-Denis.

Sunday dinner: Terrasse Lafayatte
6 PM

Again, if it’s nice, the nice lady said they’ll set us up on the terrace

This followed by either Shakespeare in the Park in NDG (if we can make it) or maybe karaoke or something.

I’ll get back to you all once I find out about Drugstore. (matt, you must have a recent Fugues lying around?)

Sounds good to me.

Just a minor nitpick, if I may. Wouldn’t it be better to meet on Sunday at the Place d’Armes métro and walk up St-Laurent into Chinatown ?

Drugstore is at the same address as Voyages Le Drugstore, which is one of the many mini-businesses that makes Drugstore into a drunken mall for the Village (I love it!)
Once again, sorry I can’t make it… might just be lurking around the Biodome though…

We’ll be either be on one of the floors or out on the terrace, if it’s nice out and there’s enough room for us. Look for drunken revelers that don’t all look the same (that way you won’t end up at a table with a whole bunch of homogenous tapettes :p), the SDMB sign, and the Wonder Woman doll.

detop – meeting at metro Place d’Armes is a good idea. matt, what’s the exit that leads to the Marcelle Ferron kiosk?

Okay, here’s the skinny on me and Dopreal (dammit! using GF’s computer and can get no accents!)

My move has not been going so great – thanks to an evil furniture store that has screwed thing up royally! So I’m having issues with the move. I’m mostly moved in to my new place, but I’m having a hell of a time getting stuff our of my old place (anyone want a twin futon and frame in excellent shape?)

My GF is starting to record some tracks for her new album, and is tied up with band rehearsals.

Argh! I’m not going to know about Dopereal until the very last minute (i.e. Saturday morning…)

I’ll have to keep you posted!

OK for Chinatown on Sunday, it’s metro Place d’Armes, St-Urbain exit. For those coming by car, it’s 960 St-Urbain.

lno and Elenfair help scott evil fix three busted IKEA dresser drawers.

No, really, it’s difficult to do on one’s own.
