Dopers, Help me find the name of this TV show

When I was in High school (1985-1990) There was a periood when there was this show on every afternoon. It was a first-run syndication serial drama (soap Opera) that was very Teen centric. It ran on either channel 11 (WPIX) or Channel 5 (WNYW).
The Plot I remember the best was there were these 2 brothers, and the younger one was an artist and when he was painting this friends mother she seduced him. I think the mothers daughter might have been dating the older brother too, and peopel began to find out . There was also a plot with a white girl being abused (maybe) at home and her and her black male best friend ran away to the big city

I know many of you will answer it was “SWANS CROSSING” and I will tell you right off it was not. This show ran a year or 2 before that.

I would really like the help to find this show…It has been almost 25 years , so please forgive me if some minor plot details may be wrong.

Possibly Tribes? That was one that ran on Fox & affiliates, like WNYW

Kylede, there are a couple episodes of Tribes up on youtube, if you want to check. They look very …1990.

That show was famous in my town because a girl who graduated my high school the year before me stared in it.
