Just to update your files though, I’m no longer married. Shaolinrabbit (formerly Copaesthetic) and I split almost a year ago, although we’re still amicable and see each other frequently. He’s no longer in the funeral business either. I’m working for a lobbying company and really need to get back to my art.
As for people I keep tabs with, most of them are on LJ now, but a couple people off the top of my head that I haven’t heard from in awhile:
garius is a handsome and affable bloke across the pond. He is also my superhero sidekick.
Breezy used to bump into me in just about every thread, and at one point she was looking for online universities to attend. I hope she managed to find one that suited her needs!

Trunk thinks that there are no good places in Baltimore to get really good subs, but this is not true. He just doesn’t know where to go.

Are you serious? I’ve known some people with some pretty hardwired hangups but it’s hard to imagine not even being able to look at yourself naked (sorry, don’t take that the wrong way please. I’m just curious, not judging.) Are you really going to start a thread about this? I’m interested.

Okay, okay, just for you CandidGamera: Draelin and FaerieBeth have met IRL, more than once, in a capacity that has nothing to do with SDMB. We’ve been to a theme park in the South, a restaurant in NYC, and we are in no way related by blood or marriage. We didn’t grow up in the same state. We’ve never attended a school together, or a summer camp. We’ve known each other for…:: counts::…almost 7 years.
We were charter members of an ultra-exclusive, semi-secret club whose membership includes women from all over the US, Canada, and one or two in the UK. And, now that I think about it…the initiation for said club involves…OMG! :: snicker:: …an object similar to the one that’s recently been the talk of MPSIMS.
I worked with infauna. Haven’t touched much of it since I finished my master’s and now I’m a teacher. I also lead whalewatching trips and do marine mammal rescue in my off-hours.

I’m Indian. And I do love some of your cheese, especially Edammer, Maasdammer and aged Gouda. I was introduced to smoked Gouda during a visit to a friend’s house in Delft, and it rocks!
Mycroft Holmes, OTOH, is Dutch, or at least lives in the Netherlands.
As for Maastricht. I can remember where she lives. That was hard. It is also where Swannguy is originally from, but she’s not from there originally. Her husband is a synesthete. She likes animals.
Gum has a great taste in films and likes the Coen brothers in particular. Conforms the Dutch stereotype of liking cheese and will even eat the dreaded cumin cheese that even plenty of Dutch are scared of. :eek:
Both Gum and Coldfire know more about Dutch soccer than I do.
I think Mr Holmes is a German who lives in the Netherlands. However, he has gotten so assimulated into Dutch culture that he now holidays in a caravan IIRC.
