I got the most bizarre, nerdy compliment ever from him, once upon a time, something like “my omatidia are bursting with delight!” (We were talking about fruit flies, or something.) lno and doobieous I both still regularly see on LJ, and are doing well. lno has a baby girl and everything.
Corvus brachyrhynchos (the common crow) inspired the user name brachyrhynchos. She was active on this board as recently as September 26.
Haha! It took me all of 3 seconds to find contact info for edwino so I sent him a message. So he’s either going to think I’m a fly eyeball crazed stalker, or he’ll pop back in here. 
sturmhawke Got bored of the dope said that it just got too pedantic and that the wit had abandoned it. I still am in touch with him via other means, but I haven’t seen him post here in quite a while.
To give a little more detail on andygirl, she finished grad school and become a speech-language pathologist. She may still be lurking here, but I think what with the whole school/professional training/work thing she’s been too busy the past few years to spend much time on the SDMB.
He was trying to get me to study fruit flies at his old grad school, gosh, like six or seven years ago. I’m now in grad school studying fruit flies.

Have to say, in the interest of not sticking my foot in my mouth, the first thing I did was check to see if Hippo was still around. Since I see Nine in this thread, and saw no mention otherwise, I will assume she is doing fine and on her way to California soon, both of which would be great to hear!
