Dopers who speculate they have (have already had) COVID-19

I’ve been sick these past 3 days. I’ve followed Ontario’s online guidelines and found out my condition wasn’t serious enough to get testing (no serious breathing nor pre-existing health problems) and I’d just need to isolate myself from loved ones for 10-14 days. So that’s what I did.

Feels like a flu with some odd symptoms (numbness/metallic taste, soreness, bouts of disorientation).

Several people in this thread have been describing symptoms that sound, to my nonexpert ears, like a much closer fit to something else, like flu, than to COVID-19. So what makes you guys think you have The Virus?

Wondering if around Christmas I had it. I had been travelling a lot in the couple months before - in airports almost every weekend. Could feel it coming on Christmas day. The day after Christmas, it hit me like a truck. I couldn’t get off the couch - was just flattened. Fever, constant dry cough. I rarely get sick, and this was like nothing I had ever had before. Was better in 2-3 days. At the time, figured it was just the flu since, as noted, it was the season for that too and there are all kinds of germs going around. But now I wonder.

Ms. P had three days of fever and cold symptoms back in February. Son and I never had symptoms. I work in an elementary school, so it seems like it would have gone through like wildfire even if I were asymptomatic. Right now I have my normal seasonal allergies. The rain settled the pollen down yesterday, so I got a day of relief from allergies.

Well, I got a flu shot for one thing. Another is that the lethargy I’ve experienced has been extreme in proportion to other symptoms. I.e., shitton of lethargy, not a lot of anything else. It seems like something I’ve never had before.
