Arrrrrgh! I was trying to play under the radar, but I guess that put me on top of the radar. Sucks, because we could have learned a lot by my protection last Night.
Well fine, I don’t need any tea and sympathy or anything!
Hi Zsofia.
Everyone needs tea and sympathy after their first Mafia death. I set you a place upthread. What do you fancy?
Trying to fly low may be an instinctive ploy if you get a shiny role like the Doc, biut its one of the things experienced players would know to watch for. If the Mafia have even one experienced player, he (or, as it may be, she) can pass pointers out in the Night threads.
Who do you think is a scumball? Just out of interest?
Oh! It’s your first time? I’m sorry then. Have some Nachos and slushies!
You did really well and though your time was short, what’d you think of the experience?
Would you do it again?
OOooh, and Well played by Peeker.
His role claim is QUITE believable. And I love his usage of Breadcrumbs, because they could easily be done by scum, however, Ryjae’s sense of urgency and his more aggressive methods always come off as “suspicious” to me. (As I just dislike aggressive players in general, even though I am one- but at least i’m polite about it).
So I’m willing to buy Peeker’s claim over our poor Ryjae right now. But i could see it going either way actually. But peeker’s done his homework at least!
I don’t understand peekercpa’s breadcrumbs. What the heck are they supposed to mean? Eir hints make about as much sense as zuma usually does to me.
They’re just detectives in fiction.
He’s just bread crumbing he’s the detective. :smack:
It’s a VERY fake yet well done breadcrumb, as it can be done by Scum or Town.
But he’s stuck with it, that’s the key… I would have loved to see it last longer. But that’s why I wanna see how it goes. Both Ryjae or Peeker could be a fake Detective, Ryjae through his aggression, but Peeker just by his silly crumbs (as it could have easily gotten him killed if scum were looking for anything THAT simple. But i think they would have ignored that sort of silly stuff as its so out of context that it feels unimportant).
I’ve only played half a game offboard before, and it was a crappy game, and I’ve never been a power role. I ended up staying under the radar because I got a little overwhelmed by the analysis and didn’t feel I had anything original to contribute, and I was afraid I’d get my neck popped as scum if I did too much “me too!”. It’s a damned shame they got me the night they did, though, which suggests to me that they didn’t want to night kill RyJae either because he’s scum or because it continues to sow confusion. Obviously I was protecting him that night to see what happened, and obviously I didn’t. However, you’d think they’d be nervous about nightkilling me as a potential town power role if RyJae is false claiming, because I could have easily been a newbie cop as a newbie doctor.
I honestly have no idea at this point who’s scum - I’ve been wrong every single freaking time so far. I was pretty suspicious of Oredigger earlier, but I never could point to evidence.
I’m inclined to believe the second detective claim over the first, but it could definitely go both ways. There’s nothing keeping scum from doing that kind of breadcrumb
Wow, I like the way Ryjae talks- he’s like the Fire and Brimstone Preacher of old.
He just talks with SUCH Conviction that you can’t help but wonder maybe he’s the real deal? Except every time he’s posted like that, he’s turned out to be a liar.
But he’s got GREAT Conviction!
Day Three is over. Things are looking bleak for the town.
Wow. I mean, just… wow. I really thought Oredigger was scum.
Don’t feel bad apparently every one else did too. So now that I’m out can I get some pointers on what I did wrong so I can improve. I think my scum reads are pretty right on but obviously I give out a scum read to everyone playing or watching. Of course the game should be over in a week which should mean I won’t have to wait too long to try again. Someone pass a forbidden beer I need to erase the pain of my first game.
- hands Oredigger77 a Sekham Lager *
Welcome to the after-thread, and gosh I hope the town can recover… but I’m not betting on it.
I wish I could tell you WHY I thought you were scum, but I could never quite put my finger on it.
Wow.
Now I wonder if Blaster is the Godfather.
That’s just unfortunate.
WELL Played Scum.
So who does everyone think will get killed tonight? I’m still betting BlaM.
If I were scum I really would just let them worry about the two cops and pick somebody else. Of course, if I were scum I’d be having a scum party about how victory is nearly assured.
ETA - meaning I wouldn’t kill either cop candidate, or, hell, Blaster Master either.
If the game is going on past Tonight, then the most important thing for the Mafia to do is avoid shrinking the number of unknown players. They are hiding in that pool.
If I were a Mafiate in this game, and assuming BlaM is not, he would be my target. That gives the Town no info about the cop dilemma, robs Town of a strong player, and maximises the pool of unknown players that the remaining Mafiates have to hide in.
Hey apparently the scum know what they’re doing. Go figure they’ve basically playing a perfect game. Well, welcome to that land of the dead BlaM.
Wow, I kinda hope there are 4 scum, just so that they can all jump on a single townie’s vote. But that doesn’t result in an insta-lynch, but some sort of countdown. If that’s the case, all the single voter has to do is unvote, and that’ll leave the scum exposed.
So I doubt that’s what’s gonna happen here. I’d totally toss out a vote and see who bites.
