I wouldn’t defend that thread as something to be cherished and pored over. It struck me as weird narcissism on the OPs part, but I was willing to cut him some slack, because I didn’t know who he was, not realizing there was some board history I wasn’t aware of.
It still strikes me as odd to vaporize what other people who participated wrote in that thread. Whatever.

I was the one that posted “search for Roland” just ‘cause it was so incredibly, freakin’ obvious it was him. The vast majority of his threads were the exact same skeevy crap. I hadn’t been sure if he was trollin’ or just a seriously messed up individual but since he used the exact same story for his recent post, I’m thinking that he really is a pathetic, twisted sad-sack.
Not as vivid as what I get with epoxy or mineral spirits, but it beats the cherrywood stain hands down.
Not obvious to me – I didn’t pay attention to the Saga of Roland on the first go-round until it was already over. And I wasn’t going to wade through 167-in-11-days trainwreck threads out of idle curiousity.
With threads like this one, who else could it be but Roland?

Heehee . . . Roland is sorta like Butters on South Park. He suffers so much, but he’s so pathetic, and he brings so much of it on himself, that it becomes incredibly entertaining to watch.
I would humbly submit that he is much more like Zim than any south part character.
