Dorks!!!

I’m not laughing at you, I’m laughing w… no wait… I AM laughing at you!

Seriously guys, you are a collection of some of the smartest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of not actually knowing and yet still enjoy being in the virtual company of… but, every now and again… LOL!!!

<I’m so going to be roasted for this.>

Eh. It’s no different than the people who paint their faces in their teams colors for sporting events.

Of course, you could always argue that both practices are equally stupid. I don’t nnow that I could disagree with you if you did.

“I totally agree with you. Bringing a towel to the theater? What is wrong with them?”
Sincerely,
Guy dressed as Darth Vader already waiting in line for the next Star Wars movie.
Just kidding…Actually I love HHGTTG, but I think I’ll wait for it to come out on video.

Dork nothing! I soooo got laid after that movie!

Yeah, but probably by a Dorkette!

The conversation that took place at our local Googolplex after we bought our tickets:

Wife: Ok, which line is it?

Me: That one, there. The one loaded with geeks.

:: she shoots me a “look whose talking” look, as I stand in a crowded theater lobby wearing a bathrobe ::

Me: What? I know my kind.

QuickSilver’s just jealous because he doesn’t know where his towel is.

Yeah, of all the stuff I’ve heard RHPS and Star Wars geeks do at theaters, bringing towels and candy (candy at a movie, for Og’s sake) pretty much pales in comparison.

Yeah, no sass for that unhoopy frood.

I didn’t actually care for the movie.

As any hoopy frood knows, you never complain when you’re offered a free Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster.

I once dressed up as Dent Arthur Dent for a costume party. I wore a bathrobe, and stuck a rubber fish in my ear, while carrying a sign that said “Don’t Panic” on it.

My god, that was over 20 years ago!

Shouldn’t that be said in a British accent?

I’m actually toying with the idea of making a brown coat to wear to Serenity. Guess that makes me a dork.

Strag.

That’s nothin’. I’m thinking of making a pink pineapple dress!
(No, not really. But I like the Browncoat idea! Are there any patterns available or are you going generic brown trench minus a few pockets?)

Translation?..

I’m in that thread looking to understand. I guess that makes me a Dork-in-Waiting.

I went with a friend who’s pretty much a NON-sci-fi person. She did enjoy the books, years ago, for their humor, though.

Before it started, a group came in and sat two rows in front of us, and she turned to me and said, with dawning realization, “We’re surrounded by geeks!”

I said, “And now, you’re one of us! MUHAHAHAHAHA!”

That’s a good question. I never thought to check the patterns until you mentioned it, but it looks like some Serenity fans are working on one. Link.

If I can’t find one for the identical coat, I’ll probably modify an existing pattern. (I guess I’m actually going through with it now. :))

And you’re still bragging about it! Dork.
