People on this board seem extremely perceptive and intelligent. They have been figuring out what other dopers were like based on the kinds of posts. When I see comments about posters (particularly in the pit, sadly) I get an interesting view of what posters are like.
So, based on my 7 odd posters, what do you think of me?

Poetgrrl, don’t ever be defensive unless it’s something REALLY worthwhile about standing up for your rights about!! I must admit I, too, often wonder about how I come across in forums (I’m in quite a few)… but I seriously just post how I would say things, and if some thread doesn’t interest me, then I keep my mouth shut!
The fact that you’ve only posted 7 or so posts, certainly doesn’t cast dispersions upon the sort of person you are! Just be yourself and offer what opinions/thoughts that you seriously feel in any topics that you may wish to contribute to! (But to answer your original question, I honestly think you sound really sweet!) :o

You sound very interesting, Poetgrrl. Also, you give me the impression that you’re a rather old hat at these Message-type forums–you’ve jumped right in. I like how enthusiastic you are about our little online community here. BUT…while you’ve only been a member for a week or so, you’re already suggesting “improvements” or “changes” to the board. I think you need to soak up a bit more of the board culture to fully grasp why your suggestion of avatars went over like lead balloon. And your suggestion that searches be limited for the sake of more graphics showed that you don’t quite fully understand the purpose & mission of this forum. I hope that doesn’t sound harsh; take it as constructive criticism. I think it would serve you better to slowly ease into things here…sit back and soak up our culture before trying to get “social groups” started, or pushing for “special priviliges for extra good members”. I think those types of tactics make you come off looking a tad pushy…
Other than that, you sound extremely intelligent & well-spoken for a high-schooler. You have the potential to be a very valuable member here…

I guess you are about 17-20; probably suffer from mild ADD or some other attention/hyperactivity disorder. You probably are a below average athlete, but a decent student. A virgin, almost certainly. Parents are still married, but not terribly interested in your life, or much else. You’ve probably tried out for plays, but never get the lead role. I suspect you have a small but very close group of friends. Oldest of tow children, probably have a younger brother.

You probably enjoy writing free-form poetry and maybe even prose/rants.
