The above is a quote from DreadCthulhu in a thread I had last May. I’d accidentally run over two kittens and was literally sick over it. DC, with the sensitivity of a rhino, posted that lovely paragraph. Judging by some of DC’s comments, I think he occasionally lives under a bridge.
Most of that was hyperbole I believe. I wouldn’t express myself that way, but that’s how he chose to do it. It wasn’t in the fluffiest, cheeriest, best of tastes, but not everyone chooses to communicate that way.
There are some very perky and sunny people who post on this board, and some downright curmudgeonly grumps. This place has all kinds of personalites. That’s why I like it. There’s even a place for people who choose to post “in character” often, or others who are more “no frills” types.
I’m “on the fence” with this otherwise. I wouldn’t have said things the way he did, but I’m not him. At the same time, with at least one of those comments, I can see that it caused upset. (Though I don’t believe he meant to cause pain like that.) He’s already been pitted for one of those comments I believe…
Nothing wrong with adding a bit of levity at times, but is it really necessary to play off your username in most of your posts? Ok, ok, we get it, you’re “the” DreadCthulhu. You so bad!
I like the taste of small animals. Why do people stick to just eating certain types of fish, cows, pigs, chickens, turkey, sheep, long pig, goats, ect, when there is a whole world of other critters out there for eating, many of them which are available within their own back yards or even within their houses??
Agreed. The “I’m Cthulhu! No, really!” schtick is getting a little old. Maybe you could tone that down a little, huh DC? And while you’re at it, maybe try not to be such a bastard? Just a suggestion.
The OP asked “What’s your deal?” - and to clarify my post above, I am trying to encourage people to broaden their horizons on what food they eat. Simply throwing away dead/injured pets is such a waste when they can be eaten.
I dunno. On the one hand his posts seem fairly harmless to me. A few were amusing in the begining.
On the other this isn’t quite the right board for roleplay. If I constantly typed in ole English with thee’s and thou’s people would be all over my case in a second.
