Actually, yes. HP Lovecraft isn’t exactly High Art, but he takes a bit more effort and thought to appreciate than Dean Koontz or Stephen King. Plus, he’s been dead for more than sixty years. I tend to assume that people who read books older than themselves have at least a little taste, sophistication, or at least basic intelligence. Obviously, this is not always the case.

Don’t worry, its not a big deal. I remember stepping on one of my sister’s cats kittens about 2 years ago, had to watch the thing hack up lots of blood. Actually, it was kinda interesting to watch.

BTW, Lynn Bodoni warned him in that thread too. I imagine it’s in the records. The thread # was 186541, it was in the BBQ Pit, and was titled(by me) “Hell and damn, I killed a kitten!”
Baker, do I ever remember such trash. It was because of such a post that I specifically mentioned how I recalled this poster pulling the same sort of crap before.
Baker, your thread was heart wrenching enough without having to deal with the evil and malicious garbage we’ve now seen time and again. I know that you were devastated by what happened and to see that kind of mocking response to another’s sorrow is more than rude or insensitive, it is inhuman.
I’m hoping that the moderators and administrators hold this person accountable for the least violation in the future. I’ve made my share of mistakes at these boards. I’m happy to say that 99.9% of them were completely innocent. Such is not the case with this scum bag. I’m really glad you checked in here to confirm what I had suspected all along. I rarely like to see my own recollections of evil confirmed like this.
In this case I’ll cheerfully make an exception. Such callous disregard for the feelings of others has no place at a board devoted to fighting ignorance. This goes well beyond any difference of opinion and into the realm of sheer hurtfulness. I remain appalled and disgusted by such churlish conduct.
I assume that you emailed a mod to point out that there was already a warning. Right? The second mod might not have known or has forgotton about the first warning.
