Drew Rosenhaus an Terrel Owens. The mind boggles

So I’m enjoying a 14-0 halftime lead (I’m counting the fumble return that did actually happen) :stuck_out_tongue: when I get this perfect pairing of ass-bagitude.

Terrel sits there and pretty much says “Fuck you, Andy Reid. I know how to play football. I don’t need a father figure so don’t tell me what to do.” Forget the fact that Reid is, um, his fucking coach!

Then we get Drew smiling smugly politely reminding us that TO is honoring his contract. ad infinitum

The biggest :non-winking Wally: is TO trying to bring his mama into it to try to gain some kind of sympathy. All the while ole Drew is sitting next to him mashing his hands together with a maniacal look knowing he’s got his “cases” so wrapped up in themselves that they don’t notice their peer respect being flushed away. And the cackle is brought on by the player no realizing his name is being ruined for an extra 5% to Drew. Well, except for TO, who hasn’t had the sac to be a team member for years.

He says he’ll be there if the Iggles want him there. Uh, calling bullshit on you, you fucking ass nugget.

When he’s traded, pray it isn’t to your team. (Unless you’re a Viking fan. In that case activly lobby Ziggy for a signing.)

Seriously, I’m calling out the fans of any team that signs him. A preemptive “Your team sucks” is in order.

Bet he winds up on the Raiders, if he goes anywhere…

The man’s a total douche and so’s his agent, but you can’t argue with his ability, or even his desire to win (as long as he’s well-paid, I guess). I hope Philly and its fans harbor no delusions about what’ll happen to the team if they trade him.

I seem to remember him saying that he wants to play for the Falcons. I’ve also heard trade rumors about T.O. for Peerless Price.

I’d like to see the Eagles give him the money he wants this year. Then next season I’d love them to say that his performance wasn’t worth $8mil, or whatever he thinks he is worth, and say that they are only going to pay him $500,000.

Actually, the best thing would be, and this would rank up there with fire and wheel, if he never got another dime for playing football. Lets see what he can do when he has to support his family making $7/hr flipping burgers, if he is even qualified to do that.

Of course, he’s already a multimillionaire from football…

Then he should shut the fuck up and be happy with the $7mil /year contract that he signed LAST FUCKING YEAR.

I don’t follow football as closely as I probably should, but living where I live, the Iggles get shoved down our throats 24/7. I have to wonder, with the apparent animosity between McNabb and Owens, will McNabb even throw into TO’s direction or will he find other targets just to leave Owens high and dry and make him a non-factor?

I know that may cutting off the teams collective nose to spite it’s face, but is it possible?

No. McNabb is a professional and understands it isn’t all about him. He’ll throw 80 TD’s to TO if it means his team will win.

I’m in total agreement with you.

Pfft. In addition to duffer’s accurate comment, who else is he going to throw to?

Screw peer respect and his reputation; this is going to cost TO money. Lots of it. He could have easily made millions in endorsements by being the top reciever on a top team and the main target of the NFL’s current poster boy. Nobody will go near him now.

Moreover, even if the Eagles were thinking all along of releasing him after this season, as he (and I) suspect, that just meant he would have had one more bite at the free-agency apple in 2006. This display has absolutely trashed his market value.

He’s not getting traded.Nobody wants him. There are 2 possibilities:

  1. Everyone sucks it up and tries to get through this season.
  2. They release him just before opening day, replacing him with some veteran that comes available. They then sue to get back much of his signing bonus on the basis of “conduct detrimental to the team” – an eventuality specifically prepared for in his contract (God bless you, Joe Banner). By that point almost every team will have allocated its 2005 cap money … TO plays somewhere for league minimum or he doesn’t play at all.

Personally, I’m taking Greg Lewis in my Fantasy draft.

The Falcons? Really?

I just can’t see TO wanting to play for the team with possibly the best running QB in the league. Running QBs are not what TO wants; he wants a QB who will, if possible, pass it to him on every single play.

He’s not really any more controversial or jerkish now than he was before. And his Sharpie incident eventually got him an endorsement deal… with Sharpie. The pom-pom thing and his other behavior only made him more famous. While he’s acted like an ass this offseason/preseason, he’s yet to miss a game or actually cause a true problem for the team. And he’s still one of the most popular and recognizable players in the NFL. As of last week, Sports Illustrated says that his jersey was the third most popular in the league. The league may not use him as a poster boy (we’ll see), but I doubt any team wouldn’t want to have him. Maybe New England.

I’m a Niners fan, so I guess I don’t have to worry about that. Whew!

And after last year’s aborted attempt to sign him, i don’t think he’ll be coming to Baltimore anytime soon.

Given the Javon Walker fiasco*, I think he’d find Green Bay a little colder than most would.
*Drew fucking Rosenhaus being his agent as well. In addition to Mike McKenzie.

hehheh

I can’t have any sympathy for someone who is crying because the team can shift the numbers around, and he may not be in the top 10 moneymakers for his position.

“I want what he’s having, and more than he got!”

I figure he cares about a SB ring more than anything else.
