Dublin DinnerDopeFest - April 11

I can’t make Saturday but a drinking only Friday is fine with me.

Fine by me.

Can’t do Saturday either, but I will hot foot it to the pub on Friday

Feck it, I just discovered that I’m quadruple booked on Saturday night, and double-booked on Friday (and I’m going out on Thursday too). Will try to join youse on Friday after the show if that’s still the plan; otherwise, dunno.

What a busy life some of us have. Me, I free till doomsday

I don’t mind what happens on Friday, there’s always Zaytoon - .Dublin’s finest kebab

mmm zaytoon…
or JRB’s, they might have an offer on.

I am ok with Turks and their kebabs. Is there a Persian restaurant in Dublin?

That would be yum!

Are we sticking with the dinner on Friday? I’d rather, as Saturday night is a big friends get together. You’re all more than welcome to come and you could meet some new people (very funny ones). We can talk about it on Friday night.

Today I have to ask EvilCowWench for a half day on Friday. Wish me luck.

D’uh, Zaytoon is a Persian restaurant. Weeee…

That would be great, if they have any Persian staff, you can all be shocked and amazed as I converse in tongues.

Oh, and jjiimm, if we don’t catch up with you while you’re being the “Man About Town” we’ll be in Dublin for Easter weekend (Friday through Monday, inclusive) so we might all get together then.

So, which of you lads/ladies wants to go shoe shopping on Saturday. Don’t all raise your hands at once!

I’m going to try to meet you all on Friday late, but don’t know if I’ll manage it. And I’m in west Cork all Easter weekend. Looks like kismet is driving us apart.

Or a well-concealed restraining order.

I’m sure we’ll catch up soon. Keep the “Late September GalwayDopeFest” in the back of your mind, too.

So, are we booked in anywhere? I got the afternoon off because I said I had an 'appointment in Dublin" for Friday afternoon.

Who wants to book Zaytoon?

This is the last bump I’ll bump!

FYI: You don’t book Zaytoon. You wobble into it after a feed of beer and ask for a Kebab. It’s a slightly fancy fastfood place.

Right well since the numbers are down we could try Salamanka(sp?). Mrs micilin says that if you ring them early and ask them to expect a group once your not late you should be grand. AFAIK it a tapas place and very good aswell.

Any other ideas?

I do know the difference between your and you’re BTW

Mmmm Zaytoon.

Zaytoon is so good that the chef puts dough in the tandoor when you walk in the door, so by the time you’ve ordered, you have fresh pitta for your kebab. Genius!

I’ll call yojimbo or Twisty Friday late after the gig to see where you are.

Hold on a minute, SALAMANCA!!!
That is a fantastic place. Have some *boquerones en vinaigre * for me. They are the last word in deliciousness-osity.
But wait, I’m forgetting the stuffed peppers and the patatas bravas and the cheese tartlet and the meatballs and the monkfish with serrano ham skewers and the fishcake and the prawns in garlic broth and the chorizo in red wine…creme catalan…pear and almond cake…

What time do you reckon you will be going there?

Do you get the feeling I will be encouraging the pilot on with word and deed so that I can gallop in to town and join you in Salamanca by, say, (hint hint) half seven ?

Right bull by the horns and all that. We have a provisional booking (thanks Bern. (I’m getting tired of this Mrs micilin crap  ) ) for 7 at Salamanca. I’ll ring a few hours before to confirm.
