eh, well, it was a good night with all the above Dublin dopers + micilin + RickQ in attendance. Dawson’s to the Earl of Kildare to Thing Mote (Damhna, I swear the music really is better there usually). I have no idea what happened after that since I left early enough.
Brynda, I passed along your message and you’ll be pleased to know that plenty of photos were taken (none blackmail-worthy, at least that I can recall).
So how did the rest of the night go?

I think I had perhaps four beers and had a hard time waking up this morning. When I did it was with a headache. Gave Limerick a miss as driving for four hours didnt sound so good so I’ll be going down tommorow morning instead.
Im loosing the touch or getting old.

Lets get this cleared up, the reception was in Ballyconnell in Co Cavan, but the wedding itself was in Aghyaran, near Castlederg in Co Tyrone.
After the last place ruadh was at, we went to somewhere called The Globe, I think. We sat in a nightclub bit for a while, then went through into a pub once they had kicked some people out. There we sat by a big screen tv showing “Rumble in the Bronx”, a Jackie Chan film. We left at about 3:30am.
I have not posted since then cause I have not had any internet access until tonight (I am home now). I was fine on Thursday and met up with Hibernicus to recover my camera (thanks for looking after it for me), then went out for a meal. Took in some of the sights too.
Thanks again for coming out to show me your city (and your faces) it was good to meet you all, you are a cool bunch of dopers. I’ll be back over at some point (and eventually, I’ll prolly bring Brynda over to see the city too).

Yup, in fact I was just about to re-do the whole thing, as I am going to be stuck in Sandhausen for the next three weeks with nothing to do except talk to the dog and convince my mother that Paul is not a blood-sucking Irish predator. Sigh. At least it hasn’t dawned on her yet that he’s a hell-bound Papist to boot.
